From what I understand this kind of thing isn't uncommon in China due to the one child policy, that baby girls are discarded in not so humane manner.
I thought it was a real documentary the first time I saw it and I was cringing from some of the scenes. I felt so bad for that girl, especially since I'm Filipino and I know that some of the wife trafficking can get really bad.
