You didn't need to, because not even a map and compass could have helped the US win.

You shut your dirty civvy mouth up. I didn't watch my buddies die in the muck so you could trumpet around about how we "lost". We didn't lose, we're still fighting.

25. Extend Your Wireless Network--Is that something to do with cell phones? I don't have one and don't plan on getting one. Why should I know this?

24. Fix a Bike Flat--I guess you just read the kit and put the things on. I hope people aren't fixing them with foraged moss and the sinews of rabbits caught in handmade traps.

23. Paddle a Canoe--Yeah, done that. Was soooooo difficult to learn /sarcasm

22. Bleed Brakes--Never had to do that. I learn how to fix my car based on every time I need to fix something on it, not really proactive there.

21. Hook Up an ************* you, my 15 year old 29" Magnavox is doing just fine.

20. Change Oil and Filter--Yeah, can do that.

19. Clean a Bolt-Action Rifle--Nope. Unless oiling the slide on my BB gun counts?

18. Mix Concrete--Now why in the hell should every man know how to do that?

17. Paint a Room--Every human over the age of 5 should know how to do this even if they've never seen a room, or paint.

16. Back Up Data--Um, sure in my fantasies I'm Geordi and yeah, I've got Data's back.

15. Get a Car Unstuck--From what? I know how to do so from ditches and such, but not the Marianas Trench.

14. Maneuver a Car Out of a Skid--Plenty of experience with that.

13. Fillet a Fish--Done

12. Perform CPR--I could 20 years ago, now, only if I remember how.

11. Sharpen a Knife--Yeah

10. Use a Torque Wrench--WTF is a torque wrench? I was de facto maintenance man in a bookbindery and never heard a tool described as that. Is it a pneumatic wrench? Those things are horrible, unless you have one around all the time you won't be getting your nuts off in a critical situation.

9. Navigate With a Map and Compass--Have never gotten lost in the woods without those, so my navigation would be OP with.

8. Fix a Dead Outlet--I'm scared of outlets. Next time I mess with one I'm gonna turn the breaker off.

7. Build a Campfire--I'm a master

6. Back Up a Trailer--Number 6? Wtf, who gives a ****. You just keep trying til you get it or you run over some rednecks.

5. Retouch Digital Photos--A bit of experience

4. Frame a Wall--I'm not a ******* architect or contractor. I'm not going to have to frame a wall in a crisis or to save my family from terrorists. Anything you can learn to do in a day from reading a book and has nothing to do with survival shouldn't be on the list.

3. Rescue a Boater Who Has Capsized--It's common-sense whether you can do this or not. "drag him with arms wrapped around his chest, tell him to remain calm or he'll drown you both" is about all you need to know the basics.

2. Protect Your Computer--Vague

1. Patch A Radiator Hose--If I have my duct tape, hose clamps, and some rubber I guess I could do this. Never had a hose break though, why is this #1?

Weird list

All I know in terms of Vietnam is that LRRP are FRIGGIN AWESOME. Larry Chamber's, John Burford's, and Gary Linderer's books were awesome.
