I think my favorite part was, "Do you want to play with me?"… or something along those lines. Nothing beats Little Annie losing her head Smiley: grin

I took two ladies to go see it. They got on my last damn nerve on the way home.

"I'm mad because they broke all the vampire rules. Vampires aren't supposed to be able to come into your house unless you invite them.. and, I mean, didn't someone think to grab some garlic?"

I can’t believe that not a single person thought to hide in the church.

Vampires need to be invited now? That's alot of movies that are just plain wrong, then.

lol... The movie "Fright Night" and its cheesy 80's cousins perpetuated a lot of bad vampire myths. Smiley: laugh

In the original Dracula story, vampires had to be invited in (usually in their "normal" form). They were repelled by crosses and other religious symbols, and garlic (dunno why garlic). They also couldn't cross running water.

The second femme that was with us (the fat friend Smiley: tongue) actually believes in vampires. She was screaming throughout the whole movie.. and while funny, it was a bit irritating.

We went to Waffle House afterwards and a guy wearing a cheesy Wal-Martesque Dracula costume came in. My date had to actually convince her to come out of the bathroom. Oddly enough, that wasn't the first time I've had a girl freak out on me in Waffle House due to a vampire related situation.

My wife, who is a vampire nut, said she thought the movie was ok. Her biggest complaint was that the vampires were shrieking all the time, and not "Anne Rice-ish" enough.

The other 3 people with me all said they didn't like it to varying degrees. From Ok to "I would rather eat glass than watch it again".

Myself, I really liked it. Hoping that it is enough of a success for them to do the sequel story.

Didn't one of the vampires say something about, "Everything you think about us is wrong," in the beginning?

And I thought it was neat how they said that they had led us to believe that they were myths for centuries.

Probably the only movie I've seen with Josh Harnett that I actually liked.

Noooooooooo. I just like Josh Hartnett. That Affleck guy is pretty much an invisible ****. I read the book first so I guess you could say I watched it for the storyline and the historical relevance.

Don't sweat it, I like Josh Hartnett as well. He was great in Lucky Number Sleven. Plus, I can get lost in his eyes for hours.
