Either this is total horsesh*t or DamienKain has become a mother@#%^ing sociologist. Either way I find discussions about race here largely cringeworthy.

I would be tempted to argue this based on factors like the impact of AFDC being needs based and not being there for working poor families or unemployed families with two parents as part of the reasons that families have been broken up and in fact if you supported the working poor on welfare--you could improve things immensely but it's not going to happen because the fiscal conservatives are invested in making sure that as few people receive help in this country--including help in housing, which increases the concentration of poverty in certain neighborhoods. These same neighborhoods who aren't being invested in and where there is little employment.

I could also say that the majority of welfare recipients are white, btw. And the greed in this country, materialistic sexism which people bemoan and serious drug use isn't something that black people invented. We live in a country that lionizes the rich--the successful at the cost of the poor (supply side economics)and lays off millions of people to employ 10 year old Indonesian girls to make your goddamned 130 dollar sneakers, all so the 1% of the nation which owns most of the wealth gets just slightly more money than they already have. And then since there is a culture of wealthy white people who inherit money, remain in the tony school and have the business connections flaunt their wealth, don't be all ****** and surprised when that is what other people desire. "Thug culture" merely states the desires of the United States. We're @#%^ed.


Oh and the majority of hard drug users are white suburbans. Check out the site. Rich white people love to pretend it is black men who are destroying America.

There is so much other sh*t that's not worth talking about it but don't act like mysteriously black people are this subgroup of decadent failures that are separate and unaffected by the purity of the wonderful white people who are hardworking and never discriminate in this fair system.

I'm sorry, but when you say he makes some valid points, what the hell am I supposed to think? His points were all about how black people are stuck on welfare. "Yeah, he makes some valid points."

I'm saying that his statements about "people" regardless of color, are valid as they pertain to why the lower class is not getting ahead in life. If you take the whole "black" part out of the equation, a lot of it holds true.
