I opened it up to find several pairs of socks, and the remains of a Kodak photo CD (the kind you get when you develop photos at a drugstore and ask for digital prints). It seems she stuffed the socks in the envelope first, then put the CD (no sleeve, no jewel case) on top, so naturally, the thing snapped to shards in transit. At least I got free socks. :/

My mother called me at work the other day. Here is a transcript of our conversation:

Mom: Hey. What was that game show where they sayd, "Big money, no Whammy?"
Me: Uh... Press Your Luck?
Mom (away from mouthpiece): Yeah! Press Your Luck, that was it! (back into phone) Great, thanks!
Me: Uh, no problem. 'Bye.
Mom: 'Bye!

I had a similar convesation about her when she asked me what ":)" was, and then I told her how to make boobs and she was extremely delighted with herself. I believe she sent it to her boss.

Send that PM quick. I'm wearing my ratty old sneakers today, and it's really hot in my office.

Thats hot! (though I'd prefer non ratty sneakers, they can add a certain level of funk)
