Realizing that I'm insane, I'm still sure I'm not the only one who does this. I make playlists that are specific to moods. For example, mixed CD's in my car include, "It'll Do", "If You're Up For It", and "Shrug", among others.

In the house, I have one called, "Ok, be pissed off, but go clean something", which works quite well. The one I'm about to listen to, as soon as I finish my cereal, is called, "Good morning, WAKE UP!" and I will dance to it in the shower as it blasts through the bottom floor of the house:

Tank (from cowboy bebop)
It's All Been Done - BNL
Here In Your Arms (live version) - Hellogoodbye
Build God, Then We'll Talk - Panic! At the Disco
Extra Ordinary - Better than Ezra
The Rock Show - Blink 182
Love you Madly - Cake
Zoot Suit Riot - Cherry Poppin' Daddies
Monsters - Matchbook Romance
Float On - Modest Mouse
Boss of Me - They Might Be Giants
Super Bon Bon - Soul Coughing
If I Had A Million Dollars - BNL

That usually gets me out the door. Anyone else have "mood lists"?

I have seasonal playlists, Autumn has a lot of piano, soft music, and dark/brooding lowkey stuff.

I tend to create playlists based on a circumstance. Like if it's busy at work, I have a lot of fast paced techno, and upbeat stuff that doesn't have a lot of lyrics. Stuff that's hyperactive, but non-distracting.

Well, I insist everyone set up my morning playlist immediately...I'm off to dance in the shower! Good DAY!

I do, kinda, but it's mainly bands. E.g. DragonForce if I'm excited, Metallica if I'm energetic, some R.E.M if I'm not feeling too well and Crowded House if I'm not feeling great.

I've listened to that particular playlist so many times that now, even when I don't have it playing, I "hear" Tank while I'm getting my first cup of coffee, haha.

Yea when I make a playlist it's more along the lines of I'M ANGRY SO I'M GOING TO PUT THIS THIS AND THIS INTO IT.

And then when I'm not angry anymore but still listening to the same playlist, I just add songs until eventually I have pretty much every single song on my computer in one playlist....

Never really did get into making playlists. Usually I have it on shuffle and hit the Next-button if I don't like the track. Only playlist of a sort that I'm using is the "Newest 15 tracks on Winamp" playlist. Doesn't really count, though.

Yeah, I even did what Nexa suggested and they're not for me. I hate 95% of trumpets 95% of the time.

I take a second to compliment Nexa on her music taste.
My morning shower mix is generally the same type of music.

The one thing I would change is Zoot Suit Riot to "Hey, Pachuco !" from the mask sound track.

Another good shower song is The Academy Is.. - We've Got A Big Mess on Our Hands
(a space apparently goes here , *************

[sm]And now to stroke my gay side, singing broadway in a scalding hot shower is one of life's greatest joys

i use my psp mainly for music, so my singular mood playlist changes all the time...i take songs and videos off and put new ones on all the time. generally though 3days grace, evanessance, michelle d'negecello and the like are on it though. so much emo, so little time.
