You don't drink. I wouldn't want non-alchololic beer.

Cyberbeer can have as much or as little alcohol in it as you want.

Seriously, look it up, its true.

I also just remembered that I've been posting in a thread entitled "Black people are dumb" all day. I'm glad no one at the office has been looking...

I said women are better at child-raising.

And I disagree. I disagree that, just because she's a woman, she's better at raising a child than a man.

This is true. Not every woman is a nurturer, and some men are more nurturing than women.

My mom worked off and on throughout my life, mainly because she had to. My parents have been married for 50+ years but my mom's life has never been solely about her kids, any more than mine is.

My personal preference is that someone is home with the kiddos; doesn't have to be the woman and it doesn't have to be 100% of the time. I mean, after the kids are in school, the house can only be cleaned so many times before you start to wear a rut in things. And there are about 1000 things I'd rather be doing than cleaning. Unless I'm mad, then I clean like a woman possessed.

In all honesty, Ash, let me tell you what I'd like to do when I have a kid.

Currently, my husband works from three in the afternoon until eleven at night. I work from eight thirty in the morning until five thirty at night, but I have an hour commute each way. I get home by seven every night.

I would like to set it up so, if we have a kid, I can work from home one or two days a week with the little brat (I keed). With the hours my husband works, our child would only be in a daycare three days a week for four hours, tops. And that's assuming that my mother cannot pick the little bugger up when she gets off at four thirty (which she has already promised to do).

I want my child to go to daycare, at least a little. They become more socialized, and aren't as spoiled, in my experience. They aren't as shy. And my husband is painfully shy, and I worry that my child will be as well. There are things my hsuband won't do (and have fun doing) simply because he's so shy. I don't want my kid to suffer the same way.

But I absolutely do not want to give up working outside the home. I'd go crazy. I'd love my kid to pieces, but spending all day, every day at home with a baby is not the thing I need to do with my patience.

I could easily continue arguing this, but I won't. Logic and emotions don't mix in an argument about sexism.

*edited because I quoted the wrong thing.

What did you mean to quote, then...?

I didn't really mean to quote anything. What I meant was, I am attempting to inject logic into a very emotion-driven subject, and it just doesn't work.

Why do you assume that I am reacting emotionally? Is it because I'm a woman?

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Seriously, though, why?

Sticking a nipple on a beer bottle and giving it to the child is not nurturing.

I spent a good 30 seconds figuring out you meant the nipple of a baby bottle. Imagine the other images that cycled through my head.

i hate when people say that ALL people are equal.

people. are. NOT. equal.

whether because of sex, race, or anything else, people are NOT equal.

some people are stupid, some are smart. some people are fast, some are slow. some people are strong, some are weak. some people are crazy, some are not. some people are ARE BETTER THEN OTHERS (at some things).

to say any of these reasons are because of sex, is completely retarded.

however, race can be a factor. race won't CAUSE you to be stupider, weaker, crazier, or anything else. but if for example one race decides to kill every person (in that race) that isn't determined to be atleast however inteligent they decide, and another race doesn't, then the first race will most likely end up being more inteligent.

a real example is blacks have a different bone structure, which gives an advantage to running speed.

is bill gates - someone who was smart enough to write a major OS from scratch - "equal" to someone not smart enough to get up in the morning, and get to their job, without getting lost? i don't think so
