There is word tonight that two Senators...one Democrat...one Republican...will co-author a bill challenging the rule that only natural born US citizens can become President.

Senators Edward Kennedy and Orrin Hatch are looking to write the bill that would allow California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger the opportunity to run for President. Schwarzenegger was born in Austria.

So we want to know what you think? Should an amendment be passed to allow Arnold Schwarzenegger to run for President?

I think thats dumb, Arnold should definetely not be a ****** president!

Then again, Neither should Bush.

Hmm, maybe I should take another stab at this. We all know that this is never going to get changed in the near future, especially with how much Americans are in favor of foreigners nowadays, so who gives a ****?

If you do a bit of research on the proposal (SJ. Res. 15 if you're interested), you'll find that it was written prior to Schwartzenegger becoming governor of California (or even expressing interest in the job).

The idea that it exists "to allow Schwarzenegger to become president" is a bit of a stretch. Yes, it would have that effect if passed, but no one had him specifically in mind when it was written.

Hey didn't that horrible movie Demolition man predict this? Sounds like a conspiracy of fabricated "Real Bush documents" proportions!

I'd support his *** over Bush my campaign slogan is simple anyone but the idiot from Texas.

I'd support him. But only if he promised to appoint 'Stone Cold' to an important cabinet post. And he'd have to have Jesse Ventura as a running mate.

I've learned that many things I was absolutely sure had no chance of happening may very well occur, nonetheless.

Complacency is dangerous.

/agree Yanari. I wouldn't be surprised to see something like that pass. As dangerous as it would be to our country.
