But then you ask follow up questions that must make the poster feel terrible inside.

Why would it?

Why do people think that because it would be impolite for them to say "Hey, lefy, what happened to the other arm!" that people would feel bad about a missing limb. Do you think they aren't aware that it's missing? Do you think they should be shunted off to the fringes of society because it makes you uncomfortable? Dammed to a life of freak shows and surfing on 20/20 while they're called heros?

You heatless *******.

TiVo will literally change your life. Everyone who can afford a TiVo should buy one immediately.

Or perhaps a book.

You can build your own TiVo if you're relatively tech savy.

Smash is correct. I got my TIVO 3 years ago. Now, a much better PVR can be built with a modicum of tech savvy.

If you don't have the time or the inclination, then just buy one off the shelf.

Actually, in our area right now...there is a company that'll sell you a DTV/TIVO in one box and install it for like 99 bucks...

You can build one dirt cheap too. Hauppage winfast card $10 off ebay, Extra hard drive, $70 give or take if you don't have one laying around, Software, free to $90 depending on the features you want. good stuff.
