We have to pay for OHIP now?!Follow

Didnt we have to pay for them back in the day then they took away the premium and then they just brought it back but its more expensive now than it was back in the day?

I dunno i no longer live in Ontario, im out of province going to university for a bit now.

People need to get more involved in provincial politics.

How much did it go up, i havent really talked with parents who are still in Ontario about it?

Im a poor university student who lives below the poverty average and can barely pay for my bachelor apartment, tuition, etc. (though im going onto 3rd year university with no debt and no financial assitance). So im hoping its not to much.

Whatever it is though im pretty sure its still better than what americans have to pay for Health Insurance.

Well i guess it comes down to you cant get something for nothing, the health care system is in trouble so they had to do something.

I personally think they should start educating people to self care, and such. Also educate people so they arent going into doctors every time they have the sniffles.

Plus the amount of money they spend just trying to get doctors to practice in the northern part of the province is obscene. The system isnt all bad but needs to be reviewed. But anything is better than privatizing it though, that costs more in the end.
