what media format do you prefer?Follow

i just got a very nice 9min video for my school and im going to publish it to my web page. problem is even at only 320x240 its still a 90m file.

that is rather large seeing as my site is published on a standard cable connection, and will take roughly 30-50min to download for customers/viewers.

if i use winrar to compress it i can bring it down to 80m, but that is still a bit large, and with breaking it up into 9 sepearate .rar files to be put back together that is still roughly 40+min of download time.

so this brings up the question as to what media formats do you prefer?

mpeg
mpeg2
mpg
mov (quicktime)
rm (real player)
dvix
other

thanks for the feedback.

fyi with mov and rm files i can get real tight compression and even bring the full 9min down to 1.5m. it is real small resulution, but i can get that level of compression.

mpeg or divx for quality, ASF for when I want the sucker to be clean enough to view, but still download quickly.
