Smash. You say that every time an election is coming up (ok, two in a row anyway). Not to belabor the obvious or anything, but that's kind of an irrelevant argument if you bring it up every time.
It's the same election, moron. Hence it's equally relevant each time I bring it up. It will remain relevant untill AFTER the election.

There are always potential SCOTUS seats up during any presidential term. We're not all going to scamper like scared rabbits and do nothing but vote Dem from here to eternity because we're afraid that a Rep might appoint a Justice or three that might do something we don't like.
No, there aren't SCOTUS seats up during any presidential term. There hasn't been a justice appointed since '94. That's ten years. That's more than a presidential term.
More importantly, Bush has shown a great desire to appoint exceptionally conservative justices. Not "moderates" like O'Connor who holds one of the seats in question, but more in the mold of Justice Scalia. That's a big deal.
I don't care who you vote for, but if you vote for someone who's likely to appoint a SCOTUS justice who will do things you don't like it might be time to examine why you're voting for them.

Roe v Wade was passed by 6-3 majority. Of the 6 that ruled in favor 4 were Republican appointed, 2 were Democrat appointed Justices. Of the 3 that ruled against, 1 was Republican appointed, and 2 were Democrat appointed. There is *zero* evidence that which party appoints a justice has more then a passing influence on how that justice will rule down the line.
May I draw your attention to Bush V Gore? It's sometimes the case that a Justice turns out to be more or less liberal than the appointing President would have thought. OConnor is a good example of this, as is David Souter both of whom tend a little more liberal than the appointing Presidents would have liked. Importantly, however, both were MODERATE appointments. If there's one thing G W Bush has made crystal clear about his personality it's that he's not a man of moderation of compromise when it comes to the judiciary.

That's just fearmongering from the left...
Whatever. Look at the record of Judges Bush has nominated and tell me it's unlikely he's going to do everything in his power to attempt to tilt the SCOTUS away from R v Wade, Affirmative Action, Gay Marrige, etc.
You may think those are things it should be skewed away from, fantastic, vote for the man. I'm of a differing oppinion.
