Going to need to start carrying around the feet if I upgrade them. Is there a cap on song casting time down?

Legs could be interesting if Courtly Measure II turns out to be an even larger chunk of CHR. Already a nice HP/fastcast hybrid set piece, as if SE knew losing an HP feet would bork mine.

I'm pretty sure it is 80%.

The only piece that doesn't look interesting is the hands. Everything else seems like it could have a use.

I was chit catting last night and came to the realization that at my current fast cast build, I'm not sure if I care to go too far out of my way to upgrade it. How did they come up with the total of 80% song casting time, btw? I -think- my fastcast set is complete...

12% Aoidos' Calot +2
15% Aoidos' Matinee
17% Aoidos' Earring
29% Sha'ir Manteel
34% Schellenband
59% Minstrel's Ring
62% Aoidos' Belt

That's all the -Song Spellcasting Time I can come up with... Is Nightengale -SST and not fast cast/some other reduction like had thought?

Also, for what it's worth, wiki says cap is -50%, 75 with Nightingale.

wiki's never updated lol. I've got -82% in my set atm, casting at about 14% Casting Time, here it is if you want something to go off of:

Felibre's Dague (6%) / Augmented Dweomer Knife (3%) / - / - /
Aoidos' Calot +2 (12%) / Aoidos' Matinee (3%) / Loquacious Earring (2%) / Aoidos' Earring (2%) /
Sha'ir Manteel (12%) / Schellenband (5%) / Minstrel's Ring (25%) / Prolix Ring (2%) /
- / Aoidos' Belt / Augmented Zenith Slacks (4%) / Augmented Suzaku's Sune-Ate (3%) /

You see there's still room for a Veela Cape too.

Nightingale isn't really a set number lol <_< it just straight up halves your cuurent casting time. im casting at 7% with that up.

As for my critique on relic:

Head beats Marduk's Tiara for best debuff head in game. when they make Salvage gear augmentable like they planned, maybe Marduk's Tiara will be on top again @.@

Body I needed a new pair of pants. not only is that an incredible Attack/Acc boost, Military Parade II could have some nasty stuff in it like crit rate/dmg :D

Hands i puked a little in my mouth. I guess theyre a good curing piece since thats still a good amount of Enmity-. Same as Lore+1 but Lore+1 is kinda hard to come across lol

Legs are kinda bleh imo. hopefully Courtly Measure II has something worthwhile on it.

Feet come even with Marduk's Crackows for String Skill, so you don't really have to spend extra time in salvage for those :D also a nice fast cast piece. beats Suzaku's Sune-Ate unless you're overcapped that is.

for the quests all ive heard is it involves a small amount of currency. people with the NQ pieces will have to spend more currency than the people with +1 pieces though.

and theres word of +4 magian weapons :D wonder what color box theyll use... i vote green!

I don't think it'll be currency. Pretty sure the items you hand in for those trials are going to be a new item (based on how they are identified on the test server). It doesn't really seem balanced for NQ + 50 currency to produce the same result as NQ + -1 + ~25 currency + crafting item + wait a week.

oh yeah, I knew it's not standard currency lol. shoulda worded myself better. it's like 20 and 50 of a currency related item. aka something that will act as currency being stackable and/or bazaarable and such like Silver Mirrors etc.

The items to upgrade? They are called Forgotten Step/Hope/Thought/Journey/Touch. You need 30 if you have Relic +1 and 50 if you just have NQ relic. They drop in different zones (Step drops in Windy, Jeuno, and Bubu) and each is for a different piece (Steps for feet).
