Has anyone really messed with Foe Sirvente at all? All it says on the wiki is:
* Reduces target party member's enmity loss.
* Each merit increases effect by 5%
* The effect of this song is not currently understood. One theory is that it reduces the amount of cumulative enmity lost from taking damage; it does not affect volatile enmity loss over time.
I have been thinking about merits for Bard (Even though they are still a ways off) and this one interests me. I do a lot with Paladins for endgame and I am curious if this would really benefit them at all? Also with the advent of Atonement would it help to increase their damage output; thus helping them hold hate better?

Well, I used to have this merited used it awhile but honestly, its terrible. It reduces the amount of hate lost while taking hits/volitile hates decay rate. Any pld worth a salt will easily cap hate quickly and won't get hit terribly often, so your better off just maxing your JAs and forgetting this spell imo. And no it won't up the damage on atonement, at best it will keep it at the amount its at.
Edit: Cap non-decay hate quickly and their +s to enmity will already keep them above the decay rate of volitile.

i would actually say it hurts your tank more than it helps. reason being is that both pld/nin and nin/drk need double march to cap the recast of utsusemi, flash, stun, etc.
Taking away 9% haste will cause your tanks to get hit more therefor completely negating any enmity loss reduction a song could provide.
