BST/BRD ??? :: World of Warcraft

Ok...I looked throught the rest of the forum and every time BST/BRD came up the subject would get changed really quick and I could never get much information on it. I know Bard would be a good sub as far as CHR goes...and the only reason i've heard that WHM is a good sub is because you can Dia, Paralyze, and Cure yourself to slow downtime. I don't really care about Dia or Paralyze and with Regen abilities of BRD i would think that would slow downtime alot also. I could also have one song on myself and the mob at which would ensure it was pretty much dead by the time it comes after me. Every thing else i've read hints that this is a horrible sub...but i don't see what makes it so bad. Some more info would b really helpful...

I was thinking the same thing as you. I dont see why it is so bad, From what i gathered, BST/BRD can solo rather well through the whole game, and sence this game was designed to be a group game, it is looked down apon in it. I hve gotten a lot of @#$& from other ppl when we talk about what ADV jobs we want and i tell them i want to be a BST/BRD. I just say sorry i want to solo, i like doing that. I play for fun, and thats all that matters.

so far i have played this to 14/7 (were i am now) and i havent seen any down sides. my gess is bst/whm is the best bst but i got mnk up 2 lvl 30 and i dont want to start over with a non-adv. job

brd is a bad sub. you don't get the instruments. i duno why. i forget. link said it was bad.

with brd sub you don't get instruments so only one song at a time and it won't be as potent. might work, just don't expect amazing songs. the chr bonus works well though

I've also seen where brd/bst is good because the main job level and chr are the major factors in charming, not the bst job level.

stop calling brd a bad sub unless u call all mages bad subs. and whm is the best! with the brd u get 1/2 lvl songs.... and with the whm u get 1/2 lvl magic. then lets say the exampol is 30 bst/brd and bst/whm. brds can use 1 song at a time on themselves and mobs but whm get 1/2 mp of 1/2 lvl so u only have 1/4 as much mp as a lvl 30 whm.

so only 1 song per target my suck but its not as worse as peeps think it is then 1/4 of the lvl's mp
