Is the beastmaster going to be able to keep pets it tames like in SWG or just be able to charm pets like an enchanter in EQ? Any info would be great.

Beastmasters can Tame (Charm) Mobs... it's mana free for Beastmasters are a melee class not Caster type... It has a refresh time so the higher the mob cons to you the less time you'll be able to charm it.. if you are even successful... for charm can be resisted.. You lose 30% of exp if you still have charmed pet when you kill mob.. so BST doesn't start to rule till lvl 35 when you can release your pet.. so you get mob really low you release pet... finish off mob... retame or kill old pet... repeat... before that you have to let your pet died before mob dies then finish off mob... lvl 1-10 best to solo like a warrior... till you get hold pet command when you can tell pet to hold until it dies.. thus allowing you to do the descibed solo work till you get lvl 35 when you can reuse your pet by releasing it instead of having to kill it...

Hope that clears it up...

btw....

DON'T SUB BEASTMASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can only charm up to the lvl of BST.. so being able to charm mobs half your lvl means you aren't charming anything you need to fight for exp...no exceptions.....
