Armageddon85 and some questionsFollow

I finished my Armageddon to level 85 2 days ago and have been messing around with atmas and such, but after testing various things I decided to take it to the forums and ask people who might know a little more about the subject than me.

What gear and atmas should I use, as an Armageddon RNG?

Gear I have avaible
Weapon: Vulcan, racc/ratt axes
Sub: Rose Strap, Uther's Grip, Fire elemental strap thinger
Head: AF, AF2, AF3+1, Genbu, Wyvern
Neck: Peacock, Arctier's, Breeze, Chivalrous, Uggalepih
Ear: Suppanomimi, Vision, Moldavite, the racc+4 stp+2 earring, forgot name, agi+3 earrings, various hp+ earrings
Body: AF, Osode, Shikaree, Archer's
Hands: AF+1, Seiryu, crimson, elvaan RSE with hp/str, Schutzen Mittens, Trigger Gloves
Rings: Spiral, Rajas, Merman, Flame
Back: Sylvan, Amemet+1
Waist: Impulse Belt, Aquiline Belt, Crudelist Belt, Precise Belt
Legs: AF, AF2, AF3+2, Dusk, Teutates? Subligar
Feet: AF, AF2, AF3+1

Atmas I have majority of the NM atmas, I lack some event atmas like dynamis tavnazia and odin, and I lack some of the quested atmas.

What would be optimal setup with what I got avaible, and what should I absolutely get ASAP?

Since Wildfire is very much like Leaden Salute, I can give you my COR Leaden Salute build.
Of course some isn't available to RNG so an alternate may need to be found

Head: COR AF+1 (not sure if there is a good AGI or MAB piece for RNG here)
Neck: Artemis Medal (Uggly is probably better all-round but annoying to deal with)
Ear: Moldavite, Volley (hoping for hecates lol)
Body: COR AF3+1 (would use K Osode for RNG)
Hands: Aurore (waiting on Schutzen drop)
Ring: AGI rings
Back: Forban
Waist: Aquiline
Legs: Denali
Feet: COR AF3+1 (would use RNG AF3 here)

Basically its MAB and AGI and I'm suspicious that MACC helps overcmoe resists as well since I noticed a drop in resist rates once I started using Ultimate Atma.

Anyways, enjoy your new gun. I can only drool at this point as I just don't have the time to commit yet to all that NM farming.

Sea Daughter is an option but you could also consider a STP option if it lets you drop a hit (or two). For example if you added Scorpion Queen with, AF3+2 legs, Rajas, /Sam and Volley, you'd get a 4hit. (SQ also has 10% Crit rate, not much but a boost none the less).

As far as gear, here's my Trueflight gear for refferehce, Wildfire is basically a beefed up Fire-ele Trueflight:
Apollo's Staff, Pax Grip
Denali Bonnet, Ugga Pendant*, Moldy, Volley
MaB/QD Mirke, Skote, Breeze Ring x2
Forban Cape, Aqualine Belt, Denali, AF3+1

Upgardes would be Moldy/Volley to Hectate/Novio, Breeze Rings to Agi+7 Rings, AF3 feet to +2 and denali head to AGI+WS Dmg and hMP/MaB Anwig Salade. I also swap in Light Obi on light day/weather.

I'm unsure on Ugga Pendant vs Arctier's vs Ele Gorget. Similarly unsure on Aqualine vs AF2/Crudelis vs Ele Belt.

For belt/gorget its easy to figure out the math since the ftp doesnt change. 5.6/5.5 = 1.01818 increase from belt or gorget alone. So we want to find out for belt at least, at what amount of X MAB will adding 3 be a 1.01818 times increase in damage:

x * 1.01818 = x + 0.03

Solving for x we get 1.65 (65 MAB)

In order for Aqualine belt to beat elemental belt, you need less than 65 MAB. The difference is so minor though that if you have elemental belt, you might as well use it under the assumption that it adds 10 "magic WS accuracy" like a physical WS.

For gorget, lets assume Ugga Pendant because keeping you mp low should be easy on RNG

x * 1.01818 = x + 0.08

x = 4.40 (340 MAB) Ugg will always beat gorget for damage.

There is no guesswork involved. I just gave you an absolute rule that is always true, barring some sort of other way to increase ftp like an atma or something I don't know about. If you want to make it simpler, just use Aqualine all the time. Even if you have 100 mab (essentially unreachable on RNG without sacrficing better atmas for all MAB), the ele belt will do less than 0.5% more damage than aqualine.

I'd disagree about cor getting more out of wildfire than rng. Using the equation Dmg = (5.5*(lvl+2) + 4.8*AGI - 2*Enemy's INT)*(1+mab/100) you find that if you have a slot that carries just one point more of agi than mab the agi does more dmg, and rng get a better selection of agi pieces than cor. That said yes cor gets some nice bonus rolls, but my rng's dmg over time always seems to outpace the few cor I still know.

which totals in 24Mab and 95/(100)Agi(+10/(15) from the gun 85/(90) in my count). This setup isn't as effective durring a brew since you will have caped agi, but that wasn't the question.

As for atma many people like to go for pure ws dmg bonus, which I can see why when people spit out those lovely 4-5k.

As for atma Atma of the Ultimate is without question one of the best we can use for ws dmg, as well as Atma of Hell's Guardian but many people haven't beaten Pandemonium Warden. Atma of the Smoldering Sky has a nice bonus to magic crit rate plus Mab (I can't tell you if it will effect the ws, I'll assume it does as Mab effects it. It may not however due to the proc effect of the gun itself not working) then Atma of the Lone Wolf, or any other Mab + major(30) would fill in for maximizing ws dmg. Depending on what you are tping on you might want to change one of the lesser Mab to Atma of the Voracious Violet which would help your dot slightly on the target and give you regain, or just go for Atma of the Sea Daughter for a better regain if it is one of the few NMs that reset hate/etc. Or for laughs you can get a regain of 10 and spam weaker ones. Take note the hate gained from the ws is reduced with more tp, spamming wildfire back to back at 100tp will not make you unnoticeable to the mob.

I'm not sure where that equation for damage came from. I haven't seen anything that describes it differently than any other elemental WS, not to say that for some reason it is different but I've just never heard. Where does the 4.8 in there come from?

but that was just a copy past of what Kirschy had said on BG. Kirschy had done a lot of math on subjects such as this, and I'm ecstatic she did wildfire. I trust the stuff she produces.

Where it was first posted. As she said it isn't perfect but gets the idea across. I couldn't find where someone had said it still applies at 90, so you can take believe it still does or not (I can't see it changing to much).

The reason I don't like store tp atams is because you have to be hitting a mob for you to be gaining the extra tp. If you are exping that is fine since you should have an endless stream of mobs. I do more events and due to that I focus more on gaining tp while moving camp to camp, waiting on repops, and waiting on triggers to be hit (essentially I'm hardly ever shooting sadly).

/RDM or /BLM will increase Wildfire damage by 24%. You can also remake mini expansion gear into MAB gear.
