Mercurial Kris versus Firing 50->75Follow
I have been looking around the Ranger forum trying to see how TP building with Mercurial Kris compares to using a (Cross)Bow or a Gun. Unfortunately, the only topics I found seemed to be talking about at a merit level. As I am leveling Corsair right now, I just wanted the Ranger forums take on using a Mercurial Kris since I thought I might as well level them together. If it is better than shooting for TP with say a Vulcan's or two Hawker's Knives, what form of ranged attacks would be preferable for weaponskills? To me it would seem like a gun would be preferred for weapon skills but I am not completely sure how they match up to say... Vali's Bow for Barrage and Slug Shots.

/nin dual weild hawkers/trailers and mercurial kris w/ fourth gun and silver bullets seems like it would work to me. I'd stay away from vulcan's till 70+ just cuz b4 then your still strugglin for racc iirc. Could also do this w/ Obow/darksteel /acid bolts.
Bow would suffer too much from the distance, it would still be close but gun/xbow pulls ahead when meleefortp. Stack racc and agi for slugshot.

It's not good at 75 with a full haste set, not gonna be any better using it while leveling.

50-54 (barring merits), it already sucks. Without Slugshot, you'd be gathering TP for a craptacular WS.
55-75, well it's just not all too great. You're losing out on a lot of DoT as RNG. As DoA alluded to with the level 75 comment, you just aren't going to be getting the level of haste required to make that set-up work.

second this. you don't have enough haste, and (especially if you fight piercing weak mobs, which at that level most people do) RA DoT is actually quite good. let your mage leave you off the haste cycle and act like the post-RNG-nerf RNG that you are, at least until you can afford a k.club.
