I'm currently level 8 Rng fighting near Bastok (Thought those worms looked like easy targets). What worms should I move to next and at what level?

Just because you're a Ranger, doesn't mean you can only fight Worms. =P
For now, you might be best off heading to Highlands or Dangruf Wadi and beating up on Saplings or Wasps / Goblins. Once you get to 11 or so, move into Valkrum, then down to Korroloka (worms!) at Lv16. Korroloka has always been my favorite xp spot, and I hope you have the same success down there that I did. At Lv20, of course, you'll need to move to Qufim and fight more Worms. =)

You should go to the highlands and fight the worms there they lasted me until about lvl 15 when I decided I would give Valkrum parties a try agian blech. There is a whole bunch of them in the NW corner but at night some undead spawn so be careful.
Oh and another good mob to take is gob ambushers because they will sit there for like 5 minutes dualing it out with you with their weak lil crossbow. Plus they are pretty high lvl and at lvl 12 I could take them solo even though they were VT.

I solo'ed MM in Shakrami up to about lvl 15. I can't remember what level I started but probably 12 or so. These are tremendous, easily giving 200 xp per kill with very little risk.

Yes, Maze Makers in Shakhrami are great. I thought you were looking for places around Bastok. =)
I don't mind travelling to the best Exp areas, I'm just wonder at which level I should head to Maze?
You would probably be best showing up there around Lv12-14. I'd say to just go over there, and try to start killing some MMs. If it works out, great. If not, xp in Tahrongi or Valkrum for a couple levels then come back. Just beware of the Tier 2 Goblins in all of those places.
What is it with worms anyway? I know if I were to try to fight a MM without a party at level 12 I'd be sqaushed.(In fact leveling my war sub at 12 I had a ranger in my party at shakrimi and she died twice trying to while the party was resting) Did worms use to have a smaller spell range or is there some trick to it? On other worms I tried firing and then running away, but I still got nailed by their spells.
They have 1.5x the casting range now I hear. But you can still solo them without getting hit if done right ;)

One thing I found really helpful when soloing worms for exp was subbing RDM for Barstone...I think it's a lvl 5 RDM spell. (Even if you've never lvl'd RDM, you can get it to lvl 5 in just a few short hours, and probably save yourself a ton of downtime when lvling RNG if you can't get the hang of dodging worm casts. I know I still get nailed every time :P)

you can kill even quadavs with no prob really i did that
...
i remember going to the maze at 11 with a party of 2, me and whm. we were to 15 in no time. i stood at max range, whm stood far behind me. need that whm to fire cure II when you get stonegad. great xp.
as you fight one, wide scan the next. all the other parties got really pissed at us. ^^
