Tanking Jailor of LoveFollow
Hello, my linkshell has finally gotten enough peole to sea and been able to kill all the lesser jailors/Aerns so that we now have a pop set for Jailor of Love. I as the linkshell leader have never personally fought JoL before. I've watched the you tube videos and read what strats I could find, but all of thoseseem to be from when the cap was 75 and before the nerf on enmity spells from /rdm. If /rdm still the prefereed sub for this fight or does /nin work?
The one JoL I've done since the update, we used 2 PLD/NINs and a PLD/RDM (me). I had hate for a majority of the fight, and it was only taken by a non-PLD once when a BLM started using AM2. You have to have a cure cheat setup for it to work. There's just no other way to generate a serious amount of CE. One of the PLD/NINs didn't have one, and she literally never had hate. I just used Flash whenever it was up, and Cure 3'd myself as often as I could. Whether you use /NIN or /RDM really is up to whether you want Stoneskin and extra MDB, or if you want to be able to blink away single target spells with Utsu and get a little extra CE from Ninjitsu spells. I don't think either one really gives you a strong advantage over the other.

We haven't done JOL since before the /RDM change, did they also adjust Stun?
If not, I would think PLD/DRK would be a viable option, with a SCH or RDM/SCH giving SS. We used PLD/DRK in the past and it was much better than PLD/NIN but far behind PLD/RDM.

Stun wasn't affected. I had considered using /DRK for Stun and Aspir. I never thought of having SCH give SS, or else I would probably would've gone that route. I also looked at /BLU, but the only subbable enmity spell they get that isn't AoE is Blank Gaze, which is basically what Dispel used to be in terms of MP cost, enmity generated, and recast.

Well with that being known, I'd probably tank it /DRK, and just do a Flash, Stun, Cure rotation. I guess it depends on how you kill him also.
