DRG/mage + PLD/???Follow
where's a good place to duo with a DRG + PLD Combo at lv 80? I'm looking to exp and skill up, and i don't have abyssea expansion yet, won't for another month. usta duo on puks at mamool ja staging point but that's too low for us now.
Seaboard Vultures are pretty easy to duo at 80.Just don't stand together.
Find anything tough or VT and go at it. Joyeuse + /dnc is always good for paladin.
Disagree with /dnc on Birds at Misareax Coast as long as any of the birds are VT to you.
Drg/whm and pld/nin With haste and decent gear you can really hold hate and that duo will really work.
If the birds are T then maybe /dnc, I still think they hit kind of hard to /dnc.

No PLD is going to meaningfully hold hate off a DRG against stabby-weak monsters when the wyvern is doing the healing. The PLD will struggle just to hold his share of hate.
And, to be clear, whatever his subjob, the PLD shouldn't be healing unless he's just looking to burn off excess mp.
To the Op, though: Abyssea EXP is just SO VERY MUCH better than what you'll get duoing (like, seriously, potentially five to ten times the EXP) that it's just short of wasting your time to even bother. When you have Abyssea access in a month, one solid trip there will give you as much EXP as the entire month of duoing. Do it anyway if it's fun, of course, but if there are any other things you two would rather be doing in the game, you might as well do that and just just wait until you have access to the giant FOUNTAINS of EXP that you'll get in a month.
If you indeed duo seaboard vultures, I suggest you either sub NIN or WAR. NIN is there for shadows obviously, but also dual wield, which adds quite an sufficient boost to PLD dd. WAR pretty much does the same for PLD dd, but lacks the defense. It doesn't matter, however, as having a DRG healing duo partner pretty much means you could go nuts on the offense.
DNC sub loses all meaning when you consider the fact that a DRG could heal 500+ hp for only 5 mp. Also, the fact that using tp, which reduces ws frequency, to do stuff like lower the mob's def by 5% and going up only by 2% till cap is pretty counterproductive, especailly considering how the birds won't last long enough for it to amount to much.
Just remember to that you aren't there to tank nor heal, you are there to help speed up kills for higher chains. Do try to cast cure when you see that the DRG is hit with damnation dive, as the stun prevents them from healing.
