The Troll in the animation only got hit once, so it's probably gonna be like keen edge in that the animation shows two hits, but save double attack procing, it's only one. Regardless though, here's hoping it doesn't suck.

I don't think it's entirely a "reskin". Steel Cyclone whips the GAxe around straight sideways. When I watched Fell Cleave, it looked like the GAxe was being swung at an upwards angle when it connects with the mob.
Edit: or is that also how Steel Cyclone looks for the particular race/gender in the video?

Yep.
Don't think it'll be two hits, it's hard to say because a lot of ws that appear to be multiple hits are only 1 hit:

i can confirm that Fell Cleave is an AOE weapon skill. i will need to do a print screen to prove it. but yes. i have it and it is an aoe.

The description of the weaponskill states that it delivers an area attack, with the radius of the damage being based on the user's TP.

I got it doing Abyssea and i didn't realize it's an AOE so I caused a lot of chaos with it. I stopped using it then >_> but there are times when i was wishing i had one and now i do so im not bitching too much. Despite its crappy and incredibly random dmg.

The fact that we have an AoE ws without having to carry around an extra weapon is enough to make me happy. Not that I'll stop carrying around my sword, greatsword, dagger, scythe, and polearm for the chances I get to skill up (<3 Aqueducts), mind you, but now I have an AoE ws on a weapon that's Merited when I'm not on pup or monk, and I'm not going to complain one bit.

Fell Cleave isnt bad.

Me as RDM and WAR/DNC Friend were in boyada tree, i had my npc out.
Gave him Protect 5 + lvl 5 Phalanx 2 + defender.
He pulled all Mandys in "one room" as example Aquarius area. Took most of times 0 dmg.
Spammed fell cleave and my npc lvled really fast that way.( 56 to > 57 in 1-2 pulls ) Fell Cleave did atleast 4XX dmg min. - 1k spikes on some of them ( sometimes ).
While my gear optimized cyclone WS did at max like 280dmg.
And Fell Cleave even looks shiny and pretty! ( But cyclone if hitting multiple targets sounds better )

Sorry but no Fell Cleave is not the best aoe ws atm. Sonic Thrust the Polearm ws normally does 1k dmg and upwards of 1.5k at 100tp and over 2k dmg at 300tp for me. I pull groups of mobs and obliterate them with it. So nasty......
I'm pretty sure they meant Best AoE ws for GA war.

Not to mention WAR only has B- skill in polearm. WAR probably won't hit the Polearm skill required for Sonic Thrust until at least lvl 84, and that's with full Polearm merits. Without polearm merits, WAR is probably looking at lvl 87.

Just got Sonic Thrust on Warrior today. Was doing up to 1600 on Mandies in abyssea. Gonna be alot of fun for soloing with.
Sonic Thrust is a conical attack from the targeted mob and behind whereas Fell Cleave is an area around the targeted mob. It's often damn annoying to line up mobs on DRG for Sonic Thrust :-/
