Just wondering (about foolkiller)Follow

#1 Mar 10 2009 at 11:47 AM Rating: Good
Did anyone officially figure out what activates the latent on it?

I looked arounda bit and cant see any info on it.

Reason I ask is i may be getting one soon and It looks like it could possibly outpreform perdu voluge if unlocked.

Rumour has it that the latent gets activated when the title Troll Subjugator is obtained from Gurfurlur the Menacing. I can't verify this though.

Also, you can't get an easy 6hit build with this like you can with perdu.

Still a very nice piece for those of us without Perdu or Rajas yet. A bit of a pain to keep the latent active though if that is what gives it...

Possibly. This is all revolving around being able to keep the latent active. Really for TPing you're losing 4 DMG to gain 2 acc and 3 attack, but, the delay difference helps the foolkiller come to a level playing field. If you're /SAM that might ruin a 6-hit, it might not.

For now it seems like an awful lot of work to get back to the same performance of a perdu voulge.

Not trying to derail the conversation here, but what is the difference in overall DMG between Perdu, Byakko & Foolkiller (assume latent isn't active)?

I've got a ways to go before getting Perdu unfortunately :(

Yeah the base dmg is lower, but the +str almost completely makes up for it because of the higher WS dmg right?

And if its a title i need equiped, thats somthing im gonna look into then. Yeah its a pain to hold a title all the time, but if thats all i gotta put up with (and not loose any of my other gear), then it might be ok every now and then.

The delay issue is solved the same way as you'd handle bravura i guess. Either swap in askar body or eat arriabita. Though foolkiller doesnt have teh +20 acc bravura has to cover the body swap.

I thought the troll subjugator title thing got disproven, and that the current theory was that it was active during weaponskills.

W/ that theory it should be very nearly the same as Perdu unless it breaks a 6 hit build (hint: askar or aurum body).

Personally, I go w/ perdu for most stuff & runechopper + yag drings/sanction refresh. If I had ares body & etherial earring, I'd just full-time runechopper.

There is no proven theory of how to activate the latent at this time. Regarding the title theory, that was listed on some JP site, but later found inconclusive.

No one has yet to have evidence of what triggers the latent. If you do, post the link & any supporting evidence. Until then, it's all heresay.
