After about 4 years away i have decided to come back. I left vandiel as a level 56 blackmage due to real life time constraints but with the new releases i will be diving back in. Im looking for some not so newbe advice. How have things changed since wings of the godess? new camps for leveling? so many questions but no clue as to what to ask..

WotG just opened up some more solo/duo camps for BLM. Gigas Tigers in a couple areas.
For leveling starting at 56 you should look at the detailed solo guide stickied to the top of this forum. Beastmaster type pets are even better exp than they once were for BLM (roughly double exp/kill) plus exp rings are a lot more common. Including the anniversary ring from this year, the Novennial Ring, you can get huge experience bonuses on each kill. Some of the camps will take you longer to run to than it will take you to level out of them (slight exaggeration, but not by too much ^^).
NQ and HQ staves are dirt cheap so you can easily pick up all of them. Some spells will be pricey but you can avoid having to get all of them until you're up to cap.
All-in-all, it's a great time to come back to the game as a BLM.
