I did the same thing, and if you ever group with another BLM of a differ race, you will truely see how week you are, now you will have a !!!! load of HP, but your MP will be extremely low.

I've also played with a RDM Elf, and he was out of MP b4 the fight was over. Elfs are more for the Fighting type classes.

I was having a blast too, until lvl 18. My whole plan was to be the strongest blm/rdm dark elf caster out there. Being large and casting looks super cool. When i chose the elvaan race that was before i started using the stats calculator. I also got tired of healing before fights were over while my whm taru friend at lvl 18 kept casting.

Just 20 minutes ago, ironically, i started my lvl 1 tarutaru blm. The cool part was i would log in and out of my elf to send over everything i had collected up to lvl 18, kind of a bonus package. I know now i will be playing this for a very long time, and this is a minor setback for me. It wasnt til 18 did i take notice of the mp difference. So, I agree this game is totally about fun. But, I also agree this game is a game of numbers.

I got back on the same server so all is good. I already have the friends out there to help me with the hard sh*t, and I will catch up to them fast. I know more now and want to be the best I can be.

Its your choice, both ways are fun so far. Did you think about this? Your first character still exists to do stuff for ya in another town!

I'm a level 30 Elvann BLM right now, and although there is a noticeable difference in the amount of MP a Taru has over an Elvann, I also notice how little I die when the WARs don't provoke in time and I have way more HP than a Taru. It's nice to think that everyone will provoke when neccessary and no mages will ever get hit, but in reality this is not always the case. You'll see when you get to Qufim and the pugils screwdriver attack takes out a taru in one hit with a 200+ attack.
