A good amount of the times when i hit alt-1, alt-2, etc. to use a spell macro the macro just doesn't work(I'll just hold down alt and press 1 and NOTHING will happen). I have died quite a # of times directly because of this...Anyone else having these inconsistencies with casting spells using macros?

Anyone know why we can't assign macros to the F-keys? It would be so muche asier if we could jsut use the F keys for macros...

i myself have had no problems with macros. You probably put the command in wrong. example: /ma "Stone" this would cast stone.

My macro commands are perfect...I use them a lot! BUT a lot of the times a macro just won't work at all...

Holding ALT and press 1-2-1-2-1... sometimes does not work right..

Press ALT+1 cast whatever..

You going to see the bar, the animation... when the Animation of YOUR casting disapear.... the one in front of your character..

You press ALT+2, its fail-safe, you never going to get that annoying messages again... well thats its a easy, you can count to 1.75 seconds and thats works too

I have found that if you dont let go of the ALT keys after casting the first spell the second one will not go out... the best way I have found is to cast by ALT-1(or whatever number) and then release both keys... now when you see the animation of the spell going off you can press ALT-<whatever> to cast the next spell... just be carefull, if you start to try an cast to quickly you will get an "Unable to cast at this time" message (or something similar along those lines)

You can program up to 200 macro commands by scrolling through with arrow keys (ex: crtl and up brings up anothe set of 1-0). I really think it could get to be a pain if you put too many spells on macro so i try to just put the spells I use the most on or catergorize them (ex: ctrl= elemental spells, alt= enfeebles, ctrl+up-arrow= buffs).
