Ok, so I have been 80 for little over 2 weeks now (yay fireworks and all that). I've done the following stuff (merited stuff).
INT:5/5
Elemental skill:8/8
Enfeeb skill:8/8
Enmity-:4/4
Hp/MP:4/8 (on both)
Group1:
Helix 5/5
Group2:
Stormsurge:5/5
Focalization:4/5
Enlightenment:1/5
But I can't decide on Group 1. Sublimation max 5/5 or go Modus Veritas 5/5. I use sublimation like it was required to breath but also use MV whenever I can but isn't too often. I do have AFHead/RelicBody for Sublimation. Lots of people tell me do MV but it misses on NM for endgame (just from a couple tries) and seems hit or miss. I don't solo very often because I have BLM or RDM (or melee friends) wanting to do stuff. So anything help me out on deciding what to do?

MV merits are useless on anything that would otherwise really benefit from MV. Do 5/5 sublim for better pre event charge returns.

Yeah, since MV nerf meriting it it's pretty much worthless, considering how much it misses against so many NMs.

I read that MV got nerfed, but I haven't seen it in practice. When doing abyssea NM's on scholar I tend to use my helix spells a lot, and I think I've only missed once with MV. I knew it use to be 100%, but I hardly think it's the doom and gloom some people are making it out to be.
Or maybe I'm just wicked lucky, but my NM farming record doesn't support that theory.

Try and use it on any Sea NM. It's the same as doing nothing.

POIDH, I've been spending all my stones soloing in there for almost two months, and I have never seen Modus Veritas land on any of them.

I was having trouble landing MV on puddings while manaburning.
SE might as well have just removed the job ability completely from the game and saved us the heartache.

It's such a marginal improvement that I'd recommend meriting any other jobs before sublimation, but it's the only one that IS useful nowadays =(
