Aquilo's StaffFollow
I'm new to mage jobs and my SCH is almost 51. I picked up an Aquilo's Staff because it's only 100k on my server, but I went for NQ for the rest. My question is for nuking in exp pts and soloing beastmen pets, is Aquilo's Staff better than the corresponding NQ staff?

Aquilo's Staff for a non-ice nuke will only give +10 elemental skill, which recent testing has indicated is equal to +10 M. Acc, and no bonus to damage. If you're casting a wind spell, you'll take a 15% damage reduction.
A matching NQ staff will give +20 M. Acc and +10% damage bonus.
You be the judge which would be better.

I really hope Logiks read your question wrong...
The corresponding staff is always a better choice than full timing in Aquilo's. 15 minutes or so of your own testing will show it clearly.

I don't have a direct link. Kaeko's LJ has a link to the research on magic accuracy testing, but it's all in Japanese. The damage boost/reduction is well known, and easily testable in a few minutes on Too Weak mobs.

Yea I read the question wrong; I read it as was HQ ice worth it compared to NQ ice. My bad lol
