Sch AF2?Follow
No mention of it yet but what are the chances sch and dnc get AF2 added also? Since they are tweaking dynamis and limbus now, why not just add the last 2 jobs to it so they wont have to do it later. If I was a betting man I would say we will be getting them also.

i'm pretty confidant it is only the 3 TOAU jobs at the moment, based off an article I read on the BG forums. You will eventually be getting it though, just not this update :<
Sch and Dnc Af2 will be available next year.

Agreed, and am 100% SCH and DNC are not getting them this update. As for the a year from now, it might be a bit longer than that. All I know is that SE probably hasn't tested anything relating to AF2 for SCH and DNC and they are going to wait quite awhile so that those looking forward to it have to keep playing out of anticipation.
It has got to be alot of work to add new armor. Don't really see why they wouldn't do it now since it's something that needs to be added anyways. But I am sure you guys are right. SE like to keep us dangling.

I truly believe that one of the reasons SE holds off on adding stuff (particularly relic, such as SCH and DNC for this update like they did Blu, Cor, and Pup for the last year or so) is because SE wants to Drag out FFXI game life for as long as possible. Just like the Relic/Nyzul Weapons and a lot of gear in this game, it takes a long and dedicated time to obtain. Along with new expansions and such, the tactic is to make things take a looooooong time to get (i.e grind) so that they can keep getting paid. Actually most MMORPG's out there now that require a subscription fee are a grind.
Personally for me I enjoyed playing the game because of its content and being able to play my favorite genre (rpg's) with others online, but hated it cause of the grind. SE would still have me and I believe MANY others as a customer today today if it weren't for the grind.

The difference between the AF for the original and Zilart jobs and the AF for the ToAU and WotG jobs is that the later jobs got significant bonuses on their armor, whereas the first 15 job classes got AF that really doesn't make a lot of sense in today's Vana'diel.
It's no secret that SE releases things early and then watches the player response.
My belief is that SE holds on stuff like this for as long as possible to be sure that the players are holding on to generally accepted sets of rules when using the job classes. It took them a long time to give DNC/PUP/COR relic gear because they were debating on where to put it.
However, a precedent has been set, and SCH and DNC should not be waiting nearly as long as the ToAU jobs did.
I'd much rather see useful Relic gear and AF+1/Relic+1 by waiting an extra 6 months than I would have sh*tty gear now.

Wow.. BLU, COR, and PUP had to wait well over a year (two years?) for their AF2, and you think that DNC and SCH are going to get theirs within a few months? You asked for chances.. I give you about a snowball's chance in Hell.
I mean, come on... DNC and SCH don't even have merit categories yet. It would probably be better for you to hope for merits before worrying about AF2.

The only piece I can think of that can be topped by SE is the hands. It's going to be hard coming up with stronger versions of our gear when it's already so good.
