occasionally when i hit my light arts macro(which also equips my light staff) and then go to cure ill do the animation but never cast and then freeze in the animation. i just cast again and it works. luckily no one has died as a result of this.
does anyone else have this problem? or is it just me

The animation shouldn't be confirmation that the spell went off.
The spell will still go off without visual confirmation. Check your chat log to see if you get interrupted when this sort of thing happens.
A lot of players have seen this type of thing in places like Beseiged where the latency just screws with the visual actions of players.

Yeah it could just be you switch your gear so fast you dont notice you cast the spell. This can happen a lot when switching gear in macros. If it doesn't work it usually means your trying to use an abilities before another one is done casting. Try adding /wait 1. or /wait 2. into your macro between each action and see what happens from there. /wait 1. is probably best to use.
I have the "stuck in animation" problem whenever the person I'm casting on changes their gear. I end up standing there, wondering why this cast is taking so long.
