Magian Staves and Utsusemi/Stoneskin/Blink etcFollow
Out of curiosity, since the magian staves list the cast speed reduction as just element affinity, would they affect non-damage spells such as utsu and the like? Would be a nice additional incentive for getting wind staff on rdm for soloing, even if it's not all that much. Would definitely help with stoneskin and be easiest to test.

Yes. As long as the elements match, you'll get the decreased casting speed, non-damaging spells included.

Stoneskin would be earth.
Keep in mind though that casting time normally caps at -50% and considering Rdm has 30% just from JAs alone all it needs are the AF1 Hat and the AF2 body to cap.
Ah yeah my bad I forgot to distinguish between the thoughts. I was just saying utsu/blink would be a nice reason for wind staff and the earth staff would give a significant bonus to stoneskin because of the long cast time, and would be easier to test because of the longer cast time.

You might also want to look at Siegel Sash, which drops from the T3 VNM Ogopogo (Leviathan) in Uleguerand. It gives +30 to stoneskin (above cap) and -8% cast time to enhancing magic.
