Pln. Seraweels.

Between Pln. Seraweels, Pln. Khazagand, Yigit Gages, and Sentinel Shield, I look like a regular ToAU junky just like everybody else now. All it needs is the Walahra Turban, except I don't use it on RDM, only BST.

Nothing too fancy, completed G5 Maat fight and got the current server record of 1 minute 20 seconds :) was very fun, and being a Taru I just manaburned the fight. It feels like a big weight has been lifted and I can enjoy my job again now, lvl 75 here I come!

I know this is overdone, but getting my Joytoy. ^^

Way back when my RDM was still level 1, I tanked Chary as NIN for a couple of people. I remembered what a long, but exhilarating, fight it was, but never thought I'd level a job where I would need one.

Lo and behold, fast forward 6 months, and my RDM is level 70. Since I get burned out on exp-ing on RDM pretty easily, I had been breaking up the monotony by trying to keep my sword and dagger skills capped each level. So once I dinged 70, the first thing I did was go camp myself in SSG for ToD.

When I woke up the next morning, I was surprised to find he was up and unclaimed. I quickly scanned my LS and flist and, as I feared, found no one online who could help. There were two different japanese parties there (one THF/RDM/RDM/WHM53, other PLD/RDM/RDM) buffing to get ready to claim. I stayed idle seeing how they'd fare. The first party got him down to about 50% and wiped, and the 2nd party promptly claimed. I didn't think they had a chance with a PLD tank, and sure enough, within 3 minutes the second party had wiped as well. So here I was in SSG at 6AM with 7 bodies on my screen (no RR apparently) and a pissed off Chary. XD

Well, I ended up chainspell raising all the members of the first party and one of the RDM in the 2nd (last), knowing I was giving the (re?)claim back to the first. I then offered to help either party in /say, using auto-translate to say that I would not lot sword. The first party invited and after weakness wore, we promptly tore him apart. One of the other RDM's got his joy, I passed, they /bowed, and we went our separate ways.

Later on that day, I came back when Chary's window would be open again. I had a few friends with me this time who could reliably take him down. We killed PH's by ourselves for about an hour when the same japanese party I had helped that morning showed up. Sure enough, they got claim when he popped. I was a little disappointed, but I didn't give up.

This started a five day stalking of Chary on my behalf, lol. It seemed that everytime I was there alone, he would pop with no one but afk'ers around until some random group showed up. Then when I would bring people with me, there would suddenly be 20 people in his pop room and we wouldn't get claim. I was about ready to give up, as much as I wanted joyeuse, I hate dragging people off for a couple of hours of /doze-worthy NM camping.

But, finally, luck prevailed. ^^ Got it a couple of days ago with some help from friends when he popped with no one else to take advantage of it. I'm thrilled, and special thanks to Arkc, Xial, Arrotheon, Eldon, and Xianghua for helping me finally get it.

Baronial Bat solo'ed, Slow2 + Para ruins him. Wondering if Savage Blade NM is soloable now...

I quit FFXI, however, it still saddens me that my only great accomplishment was getting boned by the rest of the people on the cerberus community, Grats to Lilschultzy, he's now one of the new Progeny clones, heh, grats to you man, easy gear for as long as you want to sell your soul to them. Shame you never got to experience old KoN, back before all the changing shells bs. My only regret is never getting to do Dyna xarc, done every thing else you can think of, and probably won't be remembered for it. To the rest of you RDM's, kick some ass and take some names in the future, and have fun doing it. I might be back, but who knows how long WoW will hold appeal.

Well, FFXI was too much of a time sink, and well, after doing it for 2.5 years and getting next to nothing, and putting out all the effort I could for my LS's that eventually just shut down, well, there's nothing left. It doesn't bend to my time, and every time I do show up, its for nothing. Still missing all the gear I wanted, and still my linkshells did almost nothing to remedy the problem for all of the members. Instead they chose to just die. I can say, that I got sea, and pretty much owned CoP, Zilart was a joke, and well, I did get to tank aspid on a pickup group for TM heh. Now that im playing wow, its actually much easier to do stuff than FF because its all instanced. And I can do it any time I want.

Completed the last piece of Relic armor. Got my Belt! That makes 6 of 6!

and killed miser murphy, no I didnt solo it, shame on me, curses blah blah. Went to trio ifrit with two other rdm so we killed him on our way out, his ice spikes are a REAL BITCH let me tell ya >.>

I forgot to post this a couple weeks back.

So I was on the ship from Whitegate to Nashmau so we could get the Ephameradian Shade killed for ToAU for one of my friends. I came rdm/blu because of the Defense down fomor move and a couple other things.

As soon as the ship leaves port one of my friends heads out on deck and sees Proteus. Now if any of you don't know who Proteus is, hes an NM Kraken. None of us knew what Proteus was when we saw him. we had a party of six; myself 75RDM/BLU, THF/NIN, THF/NIN, DRG, WHM and RDM/BLM. Our 75 thief Zarris was afk at the timeand he is who we would have had tank some mysterious NM.

So I buff up with Cocoon and such and go attack Proteus.

Apparently Proteus is Charybdis Jr. By Jr. I only mean he has less HP. He swings in hard-hitting multi-attacking rounds and uses the same TP moves under a different name. So as I am getting into Red HP and eat a Cure V I eat a taco and realize it's serious. With the 2 thiefs I am mainly only worried about staying alive and eventually I get his attacks only taking off about 50-70 HP per.

I didn't really see how many attacks per-round he had but I am pretty sure it was Charby's number. We killed it and got the Phantom Fleuret. (A sword that hasnt sold since last year and we promptly sold for a ton of gil)

Basically I /blu blood tanked Charybdis without even being prepared and that felt kinda awesome. Granted my 75 thief friend who was afk for the first fourth of the battle (who actually tanked my charby and the charby for the other rdm that was with us) would have been a better choice in retrospect, and I had great party support. I got a chance to do something I probably otherwise would never have tried.

I love this job in all its incarnations.
