So it appears SE has given Dancer another JA to force a fold attack...

While Striking Flourish was only twofold from what I've read it seems rather worthless.... How do you think Ternary Flourish will par?

What situation do you think it would be used?

If it's just a forced Triple Attack, like how Striking Flourish started out as just a forced Double Attack, then it will be worthless. If they add some kind of cool enhancement to it, then it might be useful.

I never messed with Striking so I couldn't know how bad or good it is....but it double the first hit correct? Wouldn't triple be decent? Or would that be irrelevent now since Climactic Flourish can crit on anything now?

It's pretty convenient that we're kind of an overpoewred job, cuz I can't imagine this being useful at all.

I don't know what disappoints me more: the fact that they think they can give us another useless JA (or at least one that was poorly thought out), or the fact that our new regain JA probably won't be coming until 96-99...

It stacks with WS yes? I understand how inside abyssea DA / TA effects would be kinda ~meh~ due to all the atma going on, but outside it seems it would be good for boosting WS numbers?

Except we already have like 3 other flourishes that are in that exact position of boosting WS numbers. Either this ability replaces them or it doesn't; net change, prolly not much. And we can't even stack them due to shared timer restrictions.

People that complain about DNC getting this and that don't understand DNC mechanics. Nearly all of our timers are shared and every flourish requires finishing moves, a resources that we only get by essentially wasting time (if SE announced that steps were misprogrammed and never did anything to begin with, I wouldn't blink twice) and are almost always better put into reverse flourish for a second weaponskill that can solo skillchain.

Remember Charis Casaque +1 and +2 increases the chance of critical hit(and also force crit? I'm not confident taking the info from wikia) for both attack by 25% and 50% respectively. Pairing with the normal RR/GH atma, you gonna get a guaranteed crit on both forced DA.

Ternary Flourish will just be redundant.

The wiki info for the +2 should be legit (thought it's uncited), but the crit value is static and doesn't seem to be affected by gear/merits/atma. This is a better page, probably.

Unless this ability does something dramatically different from what it says (like tripling fTP of the first hit when used with WS), it's not going to be worthwhile. They'll probably give some piece of enhancing gear for it that changes it somehow, but it likely won't be worth using over Climactic and really won't be worth using with anything but Rudra's no matter what they do.

CF also can get up to an extra 20% dmg boost. Just figured this out myself. Keeping Charis Tiara +2 when you WS with CF gives you a boost of somewhere around 20%.

with 95 it'll be :
-30 lv. since we last got a samba(50 since we got our most used samba),
-40 lv. since we last got a jig,
-35 lv. since we last got a non-thf flourish,
-65 lv. since we last got a somewhat useful step,
-50 lv. since we got our most used waltz.

yet we get another thf flourish... <.<

I iz disapoint, SE !

also, i officialy ask the flourish groups to be renamed :
flourishes 1 : violent flourish
flourishes 2 : poor sam, they really needed theses flourish
flourishes 3 : i'm now thf flourish

on another note :
