I know according to wiki it occasionally doubles damage while samba is up...but does that include all forms of damage? (whether regular attack and weapon skills?) How often does it occur?
I just got Charis Tiara +2 which made me full AF3 +2 so i thought I'd ask...

Has anyone tested the Charis +2 Set Augment?Follow
"Double damage during samba" is already activated when you're using at least 2 pieces. And it increases 1% each time you add another pieces.

Let's say 1 of your swing suppose to damage the enemy for 200 damage. Now the effect proc'd. Then your damage becomes 400. Nothing tricky, right?
You can have the effect as soon as you get your first +2 pair (2% chance to deal double damage when using samba) and if you use 3 pieces, it'll be 3% and so on until you got 5/5 -> 5% chance to deal double damage during samba.

How about a crit hit? if i would usually crit for 150 and the augment triggered would that crut land for 300? (as an example)

Any Samba works.
Works with crits also.
I'm unsure if it works with WS, but would doubt it (hard to notice on multi-hit WS)

Yes
I remembered had 400+ crit on Vunkerl bats. That's impossible for D43 Knife even with Piercing Bonus and RR's crit+ bonus

It also stacks with Twashtar's Aftermath for up to 4x damage on a swing. 1000+ damage dagger crits are funny. Tests on other sets have shown that they probably don't work on WS, but I don't know that any testing has been done on the DNC set.

OK, I'm just done with solo KI farming in Misareaux.
One time I did 3.3k evisc on Manohra, it gave me 12 TP return
and next 2 birds after I got 3.1k evisc with 17 TP return.
Now my WS gear only has 21 store TP total during WS (i.e. coefficient = 1.2)
and have a total of +40 DW (traits, +2 body), which brings my dual Kila +2 TP per hit to 3.7 TP*1.2 (STP) = 4.5 TP/hit),
So 12 TP return is actually just come from main + offhand + 3 hits landed. Yet, that is the highest Evisc I got that night on Frigatebird. I think it's very likely AF3 +2 effect can proc in WS.

Well, TP returns on Dancer aren't very meaningful because of Conserve TP.

Probably need to test on a one hit WS like circle blade, flat blade, viperbite while wielding one weapon to know for sure.

I have never seen any double damage procs during WSs at 4/5 +2. All of my WS damage can be easily explained w/ the known damage formula.
The questions still stand, however,:
1: Does the DNC need to have samba activated on himself or simply strike a mob w/ a samba daze on it?
If the latter is true, then:
2: Does the DNC using the samba need to have +2 set bonus?
And:
3: Can the +2 set bonus proc for other melees as well?

The haste isn't doing much for you while WS and although acc 8 att 8 DTP 7 is nice, I'd prefer STR+8 DEX+8(ws mod) Accuracy+5.
Of course I'm just speaking out of personal experience I'm sure other who know the deeper math of it could tell you what the's best for that.
Unless I'm mistaken, the Climactic Flourish boost from the Charis Tiara +1/2 requires keeping the Tiara on during the weaponskill, and since it's a considerable critical hit damage boost alongside the extra forced critical hit swing, it's very likely the best head piece to use when stacking a weaponskill with Climactic.
If you're not using Climactic Flourish though with the weaponskill, then you won't want to use the Charis Tiara for weaponskills, since there are several other headpieces that will do you better.

I was asking to be sure that it doesn't proc during WS. Thank you for the replies! The only flourish I'm using (other than Violent) is Reverse.
I had forgotten Aias Bonnet. I'll try for one, but in the meantime Gnadbhod's helm seems like the item of choice.
