I'm sure this is answered somewhere, but i'm too lazy to look.... I haven't played this game since the very first add-on... So i'm a little behind on how things have changed.

What I want to know is this; With DNC having a native DW the level cap increase to allow for more complex/interesting subs... What subs are now the most common to be used/needed...

I'm working on my WAR to 30 to even begin unlocking other jobs, but I'm just trying to figure out which path i should take in terms of what jobs to level and unlock first.

WAR and SAM are generally preferred for party play, while NIN is useful for some solos. I'd start with those three.

I never got to try out /RDM with refresh/phalanx/haste/protect etc, but I would think it's also got its uses for random solo work.

1 key flaw in the /RDM idea is the severe interruption rate that you suffer. Without a very reliable means of evading attacks long enough to get buffs up, you will most likely go long periods of time with no buffs due to interruptions. I tried this for a few things vs EM mobs, and their accuracy always seemed to spike right when I was casting stoneskin.... *I know, placebo effect and all, but I honestly had trouble keeping buffs up due to this* Keep in mind that even with fast cast, the buffs you'll be using have a fairly long cast time, and you're not a BLM, SCH, WHM, or RDM with a native enhancing skill to assist in the interruption rates.

with atma and abyssite, you should be capped or near capped evasion on almost everything, so getting buffs up shouldn't be a problem. i normally run around abyssea w/ 88+110 agi w/ just GH as my only agi/eva atma.
