Hey guys, I always loved soloing things as much as possible. So I thought it would be cool if we all put together a list of the NMs or interesting things we can solo successfully.

I'll start with one we mostly know about from another thread :

Aquarius
An easy solo with /nin, Fan Dance, EVA build, and stun for shadows.

Those ball and flower things in sea.
Warning: This one can be very dangerous and challenging at times.
I go /war, pop defender and fan dance, EVA build.
Tried on /NIN before but got pwnt before having Fan Dance.
Sometimes gets dangerous but i never died last night.
Have stun ready for the casting mobs since you will lack shadows.
Those flower mobs mean business, don't be too long under 50% HP or it might 1shot you. Because of this precaution my TP usage was less than efficient. Be on top of your steps cuz you'll need every bit of TP.
Reraise definitely recommended.

Campaign Mobs (Great practice)
Starting at lvl 70 you can solo normal campaign mobs.
Again i prefered /WAR with defender for more curing exp.
It'll take a looong time to kill one mob, I suggest soloing it to 50% then dragging it to others players looking for a target, switch to DD mode once you lost hate. Change tags, repeat. The Yag mobs are a little risky because they can blow your weapon off, that's the only times i got killed.

I threw myself at every normal campaign mob i could find, MNK, BLM, NIN, PLD, WHM etc. NIN was by far the most annoying because of sticky paralyze and constant debuff spam making it hard to erase in one shot.

Keep stun in your back pocket for the dangerous casting mobs.

Steelshells in B.Tree (Great practice)
This was great fun, I think around 73 i started soloing these for dagger, EVA, Parry skillups, and boy did i get skillups. Good fun and great practice for later challenges.

Again i went /WAR for defender (crabs last longer, cure less often).

Please make sure you put mob names in yellow and maybe bold too for easily scanning the list!

To add to Rattys Campaign Mobs. When you get 75 and access to Fan Dance and Body Boost. Try 2 campaign mobs at once :) Amazing exp! If you start having issues just carry them over to the npcs or other people(waiting around cause of you). Beware of Paralyze though, make sure you pay attention to your Fan Dance timer.

Hey Kalisa can you maybe put your mob names in yellow and maybe bold so they're easy to spot when people just scroll through quickly looking for mobs? Thaks! ;)

Niiiice I was gona try my hand at him to find out if we can solo this guy. Was one of my epic fights on BST, and a lot of DNC will be happy to have that ring, i know i am!

Two? Try five.

I had five Pleneilune Ronin on me yesterday, with no healer, for like... 20 minutes. Best moment as a DNC so far, except maybe that 1/1 on G5. /brag

Low Level Solo

Lvl 24 in Buburimbu Peninsula doing FoV. Killing the leeches, got 2 links, so fighting 3 at once, and they have icky TP Drainkiss. 2 Even Match and 1 Tough, but I lived! Not as impressive as NM solos, but an achievment to me nontheless :) Oh and I wasn't subbing NIN, so no shadows.

Question, think lvl25 DNC could solo the 2-3 dragon fight?

Om'xzomit and Om'aern in Al'Taieu yesterday for organs.

Full merits + evasion/haste set up. Saber dance and drain up all times and fan dance if it gets ugly(I'm looking at you drg with Medusa javelin). Can take off about half the hp soloing darkness.

I tried Ul'Yovras, and we were basically stalemated for 15 minutes due to the absurdly high regen (this was tried above ground rather than the water).

Hrm, guess that's not going to work out D:

Oshi - I totally forgot about that WoTG orc mentioned above.

When I did that, I solo'd it pretty much down to single digit%, then a Gnole aggro'd me...

I forget what exactly happened, but I had to pull of a detonation with two DE's to finish him off, with Fan Dance and Trance up. Somehow managed to survive.

Oh yeah! There's also PLD AF3. I ended up zoning the two back to the Monastic Cavern entrance, and then taking out the PLD after zoning back in. Took forever and had to reserve VF for Cure IVs of all things. Then another orc aggros, I still managed to take care of it ever so slowly.

especially with tier2 merits, someone must have some nice little story :)

If you want an easy place to XP, get gil, and possibly big gil.. farm upper delkfutt's tower. Most of the gigas TP moves can be stunned and with band you can get 150~ XP a kill (not to mention 200-300G per kill). This and you have the off chance of popping pallas/alky which both are super easy to solo with even a mediocre evasion set (as I tend to use haste setup on them with minor eva skill+ pieces like torque/boxers).

Purushamriga(less gimped) Update :

0/2 dagger on my solo approach. But i got the "Smith" rune today, which gives me hope drops aren't completely 0! I took out weakness rune since yesterday and left only peon to bring drop rates up a little (i assume). And the fight felt about the same difficulty. You really have to be on top of your game however, some more tips i thought of today :

-Echo drops macro now a must, he disturbingly often stopped an important utsu with silence, either i had bad luck or it has evil A.I.
-Try to always have at least 1 FM handy, stun is supremely important.
-For the above reason, build to 4 FM before preparing a BF.
-Optimal time to WS is when :Ni recast is ready.
-Always have 2 hour ready since i always pop it for either emergency, or safety at the end.
-Treat your Fan Dance like your last sliver of HP, do anything possible to keep him from hitting it at all (aka blink tank like your life depends on it). This mentality will save your ass when he does inevitably get his lucky hits in, your FD will be at its best.
- Don't give up when he heals himself! Might look like you lost a lot of ground, but i have yet to see the first time warning even with 3-4 healing breeze in a fight.
-I feel stun is too important for shadows to bother trying to stun Healing Breeze.

He went silence happy yesterday and got the best of me at 50%, so I went three times so far, so 2/3 on wins, as for opened chests with dagger, 0/2.

Hi, im Jaffar from Carbuncle ^^

I solo when i get bored Marids in the woodlands. I get 200+ EXP and tusks I can sell and sometimes skin... I just eat Squid sushi (For AGI and Acc due to lack of Acc cuz I have my evasion gear) and just have haste samba and no merrited JA. I usually always get 1 or 2 tusks per fight. But takes 10 mins to fight lol. But its fun to show off DNC power to random bystanders... I use steps and violent flourest to instantly kill the fles that spawn.

Last 2 posters. You got me excited. Marids!!!!! SOLO? But "RDM kite onry" I have always been told. And that campaign op sounds awesome. Too busy with school to have fully checked out everything.
Oh I can't wait to kill me a marid.

What about its special attack that pops out chigoes? Any problems?

Do you or anyone else here know if I can solo the Plague Chigoe for the Caedarva Mire map?

Ermine's tail NM still soloable with my above strategy after the MMM updates. I do think i detect a slight buff in his DEF/evasion and VF missing more. But after losing yesterday to a time-out from healing breeze spam, I got the same old victory on today's run (before the first time warning) so must have been bad luck.

3/6 win (2 death, 1 timeout) - 0/3 Dagger

Wonder if anyone else is even doing it like me?

Don't play DNC much these days, but I did solo WSNM Water Leaper for Impulse Drive for my DRG. Long fight, but fun.
Biggest problem, besides eating a screwdriver, was popping/pulling it to safe spot because of so many mobs in the area.
Haven't got around to meriting DNC yet, so i didn't have any of the new merited abilities.

Anyone have anything new to add to soloing Baronial Bat ie. WSNM Evisceration?

Seems that it would be a prob with aggro from respawing mobs and maybe links(i forget if there are bats around that spot...long day)

The first CC point you gain is given to you 32 hours after your last (successful?) MMM run, each additional point is given 8 hours after that (assuming you don't do MMM runs)

I hate what SE has done with MMM.

Finally got Sirocco Kukri for my THF.

Was a bit nervous, as the first time I faced Kreut on my THF I ate the dirt.
The fight went down pretty easily.

Capped Evasion (Max Evasion merits)
Capped Dagger (Max Dagger merits)
1 Fan Dance Merit
2 RF Merits

Not the best in evasion setup by any means, but it served it's purpose
Azoth/BK+1, Warhoop
Ohat, Evasion torque, Dodge Earring x2 (I know, I know)
SH, Enkidu's mittens, Blood Ring, Ecphoria Ring
Amemet Mantle +1, Scouter's Rope, Etoile Tights, Dancer Toe Shoes
Sole Sushi

Killed a few Sand Cockatrice to get TP and Finishing moves. When Kreut spawned, I claimed and ran him into the tunnel. Kept Fan Dance applied at all times. I only have it unlocked so full 5 minute recast but that shouldn't be a problem.

He was missing me alot, and when he did hit me when shadows went down Fan dance kept each hit below 100. Didn't have any problems with utsu timers. Applied Quickstep repeatedly. Don't bother with Desperate flourish, you want to make sure you have Violent flourish ready. When Ni went down, it was easiest to VF Ichi to get shadows back up quickly.

Never Weaponskilled, though I could have burned the tp and RF to bring me back up if I had wanted to, but being my first time facing him on DNC I went conservatively. Utsusemi ate most of his tp moves.

He did use Stormwind, and I stunned the first one (not certain if it would break his triple Stormwind cycle) and he followed up with the 2nd stormwind wiping shadows, easily CW2 to full HP and then he used his 3rd Stormwind, which again was CW3 to full HP, after i got utsusemi back up. Never saw another Stormwind used for the rest of the fight. I kept whittling away his life and in the end I'm 1/2 on Sirocco.

My accuracy was pretty good throughout the entire fight. I don't think there was any moment where I had more than 2 misses over 4 attack rounds, even with his Feather Barrier applications.

The fight took ~18 minutes.

Aquarius: Long fight but not too hard. Have capped evasion and full evasion merits, plus a ton of + evasion gear.
