Got my first 2 merits ever today. Sooo cool. I'm lovin 75. Now for an Azoth n I'm happy for long long time.

Wait till you can tank the regular mobs, it's fun and full of xp goodness. Only problem being when ppl see you tanking one by yourself they tend to not help since they don't want to be tanking it by themselves if you go down...

"Hey, can you give me a....Hey buddy I could use some help...Would you mind giving me...will one of you f***s help me already?!"

Yes and no. While BF + DE gives DNC some decent damage potential it still takes a LOOOOOONG time to kill anything. That being said the longer you are the only person engaged with a single mob the more time there is for another mob (though it's usually MOBS that find you in these instances) that someone couldn't tank to come up and smack you in the back of the head. While you could take your playmate somewhere out of the way it could be really hard to get a raise if things go horribly awry. When there are other people with you you have that extra buffer so any links may aggro them or if they suddenly take off you know it's time to go too :P So, while there are benefits there are definite risks. Personally, I prefer the safety of the herd...though one thing I will do since I can is solo any single links that come up. Between Utsusemi and Fan Dance I can easily hold a link long enough for the herd to finish the original mob.

Awesome I'm jealous. Last night i buckled down while LFG and grinded out 12k exp in campaign. So Halfway to sweet 68 and the cobra gear. "Costume change, Fabulouuuus"! Then my next "Look forward to" levels are 70 (Dual Behemoth+1), 72 (Dusk and Pbody/head), and of course 75 (omgmeritsnaow).

Each of those being at least 40k apart...

The grind, i grow tired of her.

Anyway pick a fight with poison whats his name << quadav. Once you run out of tp Trance!!! It's ok if you die. You just got a hell of alot of exp for all the dmg you took. Just run n waltz run n waltz lol

6 merit points so far today. Had greatest ever Merit party earlier ive gotten 60k exp in like 3.5 hrs

With my new upgrades in WS gear (Assault Jerkin, Denali Gamashes, and Saber Dance), I was able to pop out a 1197 Dancing Edge at colibri camp with Minuet/Madrigal + sole sushi ^_^;


then the bird stole my food. :(

As people may recall from my "Main Heal" thread, i've had really terrible parties since lvl 60. Last night though, i got a great great party! PLD and THF were holding hate like champs, DDs were doing their thing, and i was left with enough spare TP to use Wild Flourish for the opening TA. I hadnt used WF in any party so far because i always needed RF desprately in those crap parties.

At one point our RDM had to afk and we just kept killing while my TP lasted us 6 mobs.

I took hate a grand total of once in 3 hours. Super koodos to Wildz(PLD) and Lokling(THF) on that. Also the DRG took hate maybe 2 times only. All in all, 3+hours, 30+k exp, lvl 70! ~(:3)

Waltz4 and dual Behemoth+1 will keep me entertained in campaign for a while :P

256/256 eva. 260/260dagg.(2merits) 2Reverse Flourish 1Haste Samba, Saber Dance(this is soo fun I can live w/o Joy Toy for now)
So finishing up RF and then starting NFR are next priority. Along with Dagger etc etc etc. God I hope I get another good merit party this weekend.

Heh, we're almost opposite on drops. I got tights on the second beau run we did, but on Xarc run 6 and still no casaque ; ;

Orly?! Curing waltz %+ on head does nothing for you? XD

For me is Body > back > rest of it since i have head and legs already

I have been to 6 Glaciers since last version up, and have never seen one drop. But overall the drop rates in Northlands are lot better now, I have seen more than 10+ drops more than few times in farming runs in Xar. and Glacier. I have had a better luck with Xar., I got my AF2 body like a few weeks after the Dec. version up. It does help that I do not have Red Mage leveled about dealing with Xarc. drops.

Anyway, I have been waiting for Bard Slippers (LOL! for being the most useless) to drop for 2 years now to finish the full set >_>. Bad Goblin! Bad!

I used:
Beast + Great Warrior (Resonate) + Supreme Might + Might + BLM + Dark Magic + L&F

Don't think the jobs and magic will affect the drop.

Umm. No. Roundel earring, for example, which does basically the same thing sells for ~4mil on my server. Yes, rarity is built into that price, but i doubt the price will stabilize anywhere near as low as wootz ore. Besides, if you have to choose between lotting gear or ore, get the gear then switch back to ore. You can have your cake and eat it too.

After I get a wootz ore , or two, I'll do DNC comments more often.


Besides in my LS, I think the tiara is freelotted. or there is like 1 person who needs.
