I'm not paying that either, but sadly someone will, I'm afraid.

I'm determined now to start gathering points and spam as many Obs as possible. With some luck, it can drop all the new attachments, and I won't have to bother with the AH.

It wouldn't be farfetched to say that Ob does drop all 4 as 2 reports on the official forums reported Vivi Value and Perculator dropping from Ob. A small sample test has been done on Perculator.

I can also confirm Barrier Module dropping, I saw it personally today when I fought him with some friends. There is also a picture on FFXIAH of Ob dropping a Disruptor http://static.ffxiah.com/images/ss/mid/OJ7Tds1rkHv43eR1.jpg so I'd say it's confirmed 4/4

Popped Ob 4 times with friends today and got 2 Disruptors and 1 Percolator.

Was fighting some undead with Vivi Valve, had two light maneuvers up, paralyzed, and in red health; Serenade decided to paralyna me instead. I guess no hidden effect, not surprising.

You forgot to mention how it silenced the Skeleton Warriors who cast no spells because they have MP (DRK or something I assume?). :P

Just remember folks they changed NPCs to stop casting silence on beetles and things a long time ago, and not PUP. Working as intended if I ever saw it!

Naturally. Though that was mostly for people who were hopeful that the attachment affects AI. Given, what I did wasn't very thorough; so I would still encourage somebody to play around with the attachment—though I do doubt one will get different results from the AI.

id probably pay

50k for dispel (since i have pocket whm that can cast it on command, with maneuvers, and without consuming a 20 sec cast time, since im assuming its a spell and wont work on ss/ve)

100k for percalator (since im caped in all skills)
200k for vivi/barrier

None are worth 5m lol, or even 1m



I might pay 1-5m for one that fixes blm or whm ai though....

I wouldn't pay 100k for any of them except maybe the barrier module. Percolator 50-60k, tops. And I actually need skillups.

Percolator and Barrier were recently sold for 2 mil each on Quetz. Id never pay that much.
Reminds me of when Attuner/Target Marker were highly sought after and I would sell them for 1-1.5mil each back when I did the ENM regularly.

Im waiting on these until the prices go below 100k. Id prefer to pay closer to 50k each.

LOL @ BLM/WHM AI fixes. Id pay for those too although I hope Square Enix just fixes the AI instead of giving us attachements that make them work right XD

disruptor sold for 2mil and Barrier module sold for 100k (this one sold cheap for the 1st one of the AH). Perc is on ah and hasnt sold and vivi hasn't hit the AH

A possible theory:

My friends and I seem to have a better attachment drop rate if we make Ob cycle all 4 Automaton Modes. We open with converting it to Mage mode, then shift it to Ranged mode, then lock it in Melee mode (higher defense so the THF can go to town proccing TH) and so far doing that we seem to have a pretty decent drop rate on the new attachments. (3/3 since first testing it out tbh)

We also believe the new attachments to be in a seperate loot table than the other 10 it can possibly drop due to their frequency comparison.

Current Drops: Barrier Module x4 Vivi-Valve x3 in roughly 15 fights

The new attachments seem to be going for 1M on the Sylph AH. I still haven't burned my Percolator yet since I'm already capped on magic and ranged. It really all depends on how easy these will be to find. I'll probably go ahead and sell my Percolator, because I think Ob is going to be pretty busy soon.

Time to start playing with that ZNM stuff, I guess. Maybe I can find a THF to help me.

PLD mobs are the primary offenders: crabs, beetles, and Rafflesia are the ones I know for sure have MP but do not cast. And of course all those wonderful silence-resistant NMs.

Anyone expecting a serious AI change from SE through an attachment from a minor update is deluding himself. Automatons will continue to have derptastic AI until SE decides to fix the base AI.

Ob pops sit around 3000-4000 Zeni (cost more then T3's ... GEEZUS)

Perc and Disruptor have sold for 2 mil
Barrier module started at 100k and is now up to 500k
Vivi Still hasnt hit the AH.

Percolator loaded in a casket I opened, but I had to make space in my inventory/clear out the treasure pool... And the chest despawned. Oh well, it was only a percolator.

It's been a couple more hours and no luck on any attachments, I suspect that the new attachments might actually be only one-per zone, the percolator I found was also in ordelles, until someone else reports getting a different new attachment there it might be a nice place to hunt them (we have sandy boxes kupower now, so yeah.)

Also a theory, end frame seems to trigger certain attachments to drop... Either that or Random number generator is random.

anyone know the best way/job to solo Ob? im not so sure i can solo on pup. i tried on blue using the new 2 hour but ran out of mp pretty quick. i tried again on bst and magic mortar kept raping my pets. any suggestions will be good. i have many level 90's to use. thanks.

Try using an animator (if you lost yours you can buy a new one for 10k from ikuri-wakuri or w/e the taru pups name is) and subbing /pup. Then use your gimped automaton to put up maneuvers to change frame to what you want, and then deactivate and go to down with your pets. If I remember correctly, he stays in whatever frame you put him in until you overload or change maneuvers, so you can just change him then send your dipperyuli at him.

Just keep in mind Ob is a bit of rapage on metal legs regardless of form, so choose the frame you want to deal with wisely. I know the mage frame is squishiest but it also uses pretty nasty spells, while i think sharpshot has high evasion/ranged accuracy, and valoredge high defenses and melee accuracy.
