Hey all, coming back to the game after a few years off and pup has caught my eye after reading forums of all the new changes going on. Question is, once i get an attachment, say Tension Spring, and equip it on my auto, do i ever need to get another Tension Spring attachment or is just the one going to be enough for my PUP career? Or do i need one for each frame/head? Thanks in advance
You can only attach one of each attachment. Although they are stackable in your inventory or on AH, only one can be put on to your Automaton. And they are on permanently - you don't need one for each frame or anything like that :)

Around 200k is the initial basic investment in attachments, if you buy all the vendor ones plus a few basic ones from the AH (Flashbulb, basically, but maybe some of the tier II stat increasing ones, like Tension spring II). Then when you start partying you'll want all the acc and attack ones.
As you level, you'll need some moderately priced pieces of equipment, but nothing really different from most DDs. You'll want to have most if not all the attachments at 75, and that's when the big investment are: there's 3-4 in the 600k-1.1M range.
I'm currently saving for a Turbo Charger which has skyrocketed to 900k on Ragnarok, and considering my moderate weekly outcomes, it's being a pain ;_;

Im not going to have set hours to play due to just moving and having a new work schedule so i would be focusing mainly on solo play and not worry about parties. Any attachments that you could recommend as "Must Haves" going from level 1-30ish for the time?

Buying all the ones from the npc is a good starting point. and tier 2 plus stuff like attuner/target marker are really cheap these days (10-20k) which will give you a good starting point. However i really cant stress enough how much turbo charger rocks. Its easily one of our best melee attachments and well worth every gil. If your serious about taking pup up and doing your best id personally add it to the "must have asap list" despite it costing 4x the amount of all the other attachments mentioned in this thread combined.

It can be confusing especially when you see attachments start to 12. Since there is no need to ever buy 12 at once.

Not only did the Attuner and Target maker go up in price, the Eraser and Coiler went from 10/20k-200/400k.
The Turbo Charger Doubled and the Tranquilizer is still crazy expensive.

im getting pretty close to 70 on my paladin and a really good friend of mine is just about 70 on his BLU as well. what are the chances that the higher costing ones are farmable?

coiler you can get from a tier 1 znm, you will want the earring anyways.
but the others are a pain in ass, you have to do target the captain missions to get them. Pups get a little screwed on that stuff, we need those attachments to be effective, but unfortunately they not the easiest to obtain, so gather a good party of 6 and keep doing those missions over and over and over again .
