OMW to test soulsoother AI!

Lvl 70, 2 auto regen attatchments with 1 light manny = 10 hp/tic far as i can see. Tanking weapons in moon is also significantly easier with full VE frame. Still fairly weak def but taking damage very noticably better.

Don't forget to mention if your equipping optic fiber as well, the 10% boost applies to auto repair kits and mana tanks as well, provided you reach high enough to be a whole number and not a decimal.

Come to think of it, optic fiber gets enhanced by light maneuver as well, so how much hp would dual repairs and 3 light maneuvers restore with it? o-o must test this as soon as a tiger dies to a double ice weather nuke!

::Edit:: with double ice weather, burn, and abs-int with 3 ice maneuvers, and with +12 pet magic attack and all DD nuke attachments equipped... 2790 damage. XD::

Also, its possible to get a bit more magic bonus for pet than I have through random augments, which should now be easier to obtain. '-')b

It might be that it's based on a % of the automatons max HP/MP, (or base max HP/MP) The reason I say this is because I got 10/18/30 hp a tic regen with dual kits on valoredge with no optic fiber equipped, yet only 9/15/24 hp a tic with soulsoother with dual kits AND Optic fiber.

Also, I could have sworn I saw VE recover 30 HP a tic twice after a few tics of HP, further suggesting that it's based on max HP, or base max HP.

Gonna test on my level 1 pup mule.

Ok, just did a quick check, too lazy to do full results with so many exciting things to look at atm. o-o But I was right, it isn't the same. I got 2/3/probably 4 but oni only has 40 hp at level 1 so too hard to test, with harliquin and only auto repair kit II equipped.

It's definitely based on level, max HP of frame, or probably a mixture of the two, but I'm too afraid ill mess the formula up. XD

The automatons defense seems to be adjusted, for valoredge anyways. I noticed while playing with beauc. glacier mobs, VE was only taking 18 a hit or so from the tigers, and sometimes only 12ish, and a gigas mnk hit him for 3 damage. XD

More surprisingly, this is without armor plates at all, or maneuvers. When I went to play with soulsoothers regen, he promptly got slugged by the same mobs for about 26-32 a hit, and a golem hit him for mid 60s >.o This was a rather big difference, but when I equipped both armor plates and optic fiber, his damage with no maneuvers up dropped to about 23 a hit from most mobs, and the golems hit him for about 48. 3 Earth maneuvers lowered this even more, down to about 18 a hit, with golems hitting for 30-40 a hit or so.

Also, I noticed VE hitting harder with bone crusher than usual for me, with consistant 570ish on the too weak mobs there, and one hit for nearly 700 damage. Without any attachments other than repair kits and condenser, nor maneuvers to increase stats. Need... to... test... power....

Also, with steam jacket, dual armor plates, and optic fiber, Oniwaka as valoredge was taking 50ish damage the first hit with no earth maneuvers, then after that 30-40 damage with rare 50ish damage in between. With 3 earth maneuvers up, the damage cut down to a mere 18-23, which was rather laughable to say the least. Bone crusher with attack attachments did a steady 550-630ish, which was suprising as well since it never is that high on anything stronger than level 30ish for me.

Shock absorber still absorbs 100 HP as far as i can tell at level 1, since harly took on a crow as Psi hitting him for 8 damage a hit, then stoneskined and lasted for over a minute before stoneskin broke. Little guy probably could've won if I helped. XD Didn't appear to be adjusted for 75 still on colibris, but not surprised as it wasn't mentioned. Did a 756 bone crusher right after checking that, with only one fire maneuver for flame holder. I'm not sure, but it seems stronger than before. :3

Cannibal blade is still the same as always, oh well. :x

Getting 5 mp/tic with one dark maneuver with just mana tank II on soulsoother. Max MP is 1025 (boosted by animator +1). PUP in the same party is only getting 4 mp/tic with the same setup, but his auto's max MP is only 965.

By the by, holy god the Boyahda Tree is f*cking packed with PUPs. I'm in a 4 PUP skillup pt, there's another PUP skillup pt wandering around as well, and a half dozen solo PUPs as well.

I'd like to hear about two things:

1) How much does a 3x Fire Inhibitor forced Armor Piercer do with the additional +21 STR from Maneuver Effects (including AF gloves).

2) How much does Stringing Pummel now do with capped B+ H2H?

I'm stuck at work for a while so I cant test myself, but I'll toss up some data when I can. In the meantime, can anyone attest?

Would love to oblige, but SE playing with our emotions atm. There is an emergency maintainance going on...but for us that didn't know that, they forgot to turn off the "Play" button in PoL.

I didn't try AoE damage. But last night before I finally crashed (Valefor, so server went back alive at 3 in the mornin) I ran out to Keep S to see if Shadow Lord was running around. Saw a VT+ Orc and I was like, "Wonder how hard that'd hit Sancho..." So I put on both APs, Steam Jacket, Optic. After about three hits with three Earth up, Sancho was getting hit for 100-120 with crits pushing 200-230. He was also laying into it with ~130 per swing.

From what little I've played with it. Definitely not the tank puppet we wanted, but they can take a beating now.

Regen 3 is really helping soloability. im not sure i like how high the priority for it is. anywhere from 99%-current cure trigger (depending on attatchments), no matter what maneuver you use will cause regen 3. which is kinda annoying because now you can only get a debuff if either you have regen on, or are at 100%

ice manuever should give me paralyze, not regen. dont get me wrong, i love that regen finally works, but it should require no manuever, or 1 light.

I rank this with how aspir, drain, and the -na work now. I was happy with regen 3 as it was, there was nothing wrong with it.

Quick everyone complain the automatons AI was messed up by the update to a GM and we will have emergency maintenance. Yes I am serious too.

Had a puppet burn, out in Bhaflau Thickets this afternoon on Slyph.

Went as expected, two Pup/Dnc's, two /Wars, and a JP /nin, and one /whm. Highest we ever got was Chain 6 on NQ Colibri at a 61 sync. Daze with Flame holder went up significantly, we were getting about +6 with AF per manuver, which is about +3 Attack per one +9 with all three up (Though you'll only get Arcballista which did Daze's average damage.) My Daze usually does about 450-600 depending on the level sync and manuvers, Pup tank couldn't keep hate so we changed setups. Regular shots that used to hit for 110 now hit for 143 with a Thunder/Fire/Wind rotation. The lack of Racc being factored into range makes the Drum Magazine all the more useless while making the -Enmity pieces even more viable.

I don't think we can go to East Ronfaure S anymore, lol.

The important thing here is the latter puppetry setups 3 Souls, 2 Shots, and a VE (Me.) Valoredge did surprisingly well with just Target Marker/ Coiler/ Stablizer, Strobe or Flame holder / Attuner/ and Tension Spring II. Its Ws damage as mediocre, max being 300+ on Cannibal blade and one really **** 336 Chimera Ripper but on average, Mashi swung for 55-60+ without any fire manuvers, even though I wasn't hitting it that hard. WS damage was usually 100.

With the strobe on, it made a good backup tank to the Pup/War that was designated to tank. It kept the hate off the Sharpshots, and the Hammerill did a good job with shield bash and enmity. As he swung for more damage, and double attacked more often, constantly provoking, it was able to tank every other to every two fights for the full duration and could Canibal blade its health back to about 80% with el-cheapo oil, and some lights.

Auto-Repair Kits I and II respectively have become "The SHIIITTE" so I imagine not having them anymore would be less then stellar and should be mandated with every new Pup. When I used sharpshot, it'd just for at least 1/9th of its bar every few seconds with just two light manuvers up and ARKII. With a fully capped Melee auto making the slightly more average Pup in our group switch to his VE frame later on as well, I'd say SE did a pretty good job.

I also spent a few hours skilling up in Boyhda Tree, nothing too remarkable though. 6 Pups and a helper all doing Stringing Pummel and the like on Steelshells. My Pup isn't 75, so I couldn't test it myself but most of the ones in the Pt seemed relatively impressed with the buffs to H2h as they got more and more capped.

Spiritweaver and Soulsoother respectively did... about exactly the same. Magic isn't really my forte as pup. I've got Cure V, but none of the luxury nuking equipment, just slightly above the basics. Still both frames were eating Cursed Sphere, and Bubbleshower pretty good. Not the same as me, but strangely alittle better in some regards. I'd tell you I s#@t a brick, but I didn't. AoE will still wipe your puppet, thats never going to change with pet jobs.

One Pup said: "Even at B+ we're still really good. Though this job/game has alot of elitism, its really going to show now at endgame. SE made us about as good with our fists, as a Dnc is with its dagger. Dnc gets flak for not being really all that useful or accurate at endgame, but merely passable. But Dnc does not have an Automaton like mine."

I've got a few papers to write, but when I play again I'll keep you guys posted on the new Slyph Pup escapades.

Then you realized you were not using an ice manuever on DC + mobs because then you always see it. (campaign mobs do not count)

One Fire/Dark/Thunder, Inhibitor, TSII, Flame Holder, 300TP, Armor Piercer 5/5 Optimization 5/5 Marksmanship (please don't get distracted, criticize me on this, and miss my point completely) on a EP Biddybug . . .

. . . 1800 Damage

What was the point? Before the update it already do up to 1400 with 1 fire maneuver, flame holder, non capped marksmanship merits, 100TP, and no dia, to a VT colibri.

Ladybugs are also more capricious:

Anyway, what was the point? Still never saw the point of saying you did 1800 to a flying EP with a piercing WS.

He feels his automaton's dmg potential has been raised and he wanted to share his personal observation. As this is an open testing thread after a rather decent buff to our lil buddies, valid post imo.

Good stuff Jayheart!

Valid post but,,

1) It was not a real test.
2) It tells us nothing.

Nothing personal Jay.
