A new (that we need) ability i must share.Follow

Every time i gear up Cor and head out to play i always get this idea hitting me.

I wish there was a new ability called "Stand".

What this would do is kinda lock in a Phantom Roll for at least 2 times the roll's duration.
For example roll a lucky 4 or 11 Accuracy (Hunters Roll) and then hit Stand to lock it in for a while so you don't have to re-roll it again.

Would be cool to keep a lucky or perfect roll instead of constantly rolling for another.

Just an idea.

Not needed when you can already get like 7 min buff duration.

Same idea, different concept:

Using 'Stand' after Phantom Roll locks that roll on yourself. Next roll you do affects the people in range, but not yourself. For example you give the DDs Tactician's and Miser's, then use Stand, then give your mage a roll but you still keep the first 2 rolls.

Now that would be awesome. Smiley: cool

When was the last time you had to actually user a 3 roll rotation???

My whm mule can sustain it self in nyzul and dynamis with refresh items and sublimation/ convert. Every other event has temps.

Not saying I dont want that ability because it would be very useful for fights when the dd need some type of defense roll.

Id personally like to have an ability that would allow you to go back 1 number, like a reverse double up.

Its funny that someone would argue to keep hMP roll rather than Cure potency, but say mages don't need rolls to maintain MP.

I've had BLM that got stuck in my party that blew through MP pretty quickly trying to proc in VW and needed some MP refresh assistance. WHM's are pretty good unless you have DD that don't know how to avoid damage and keep hanging in AoE range. That can tap even a well managed WHM.

Humans are humans. they don't always make the right choices and sometimes need some assistance from their support jobs. I'd rather put some added refresh on a mage than have the party leader tell me to switch to /WHM to help out with healing.

But I agree that most of the time mages function fine without rolls and the best way to manage their MP is to kill the mobs before they do much damage, esp on lower tier content.

I'll agree that in most situations a 3rd roll isn't necessary, but you never have a mage that's struggling for MP? You never have a BLM in party that would like some MAB, or even Macc against highly resistant mobs? You never have a zerg situation where different DDs benefit more from different rolls? Or how about situations where the tank might want the new Gallant's Roll?

Sure we've been lazy lately with rolls. In many situations we just have to throw up Tactician's and Miser's and forget about it. But if we had access to a Pianissimo-like ability like ability so we could give a 3rd roll without losing our own buffs, I'm sure most Corsairs would take full advantage of it.
