question on dice in exp parties

So I understand how to run back and forth to keep the melee dice on the melee's and the caster dice on the caster, but where do I fit my exp dice in all this? Do I always keep it up on them all? do I try hit everyone with it before a mob dies?

If the mages and DDs can get by with only 1 roll each, then use Cor roll with luzafs ring to hit everyone. If they can't get decent xp with only 1 roll each do 2 mage rolls and 2 dds rolls, and ignore cor roll, as it will help your xp more.

If you're not high enough to use the luzaf's ring yet, try to get the exp roll on as many as you can. This is easier if you use windower and the distance plugin so you can find exactly where to stand. Ask the mages to move close to the melee when you are about to use corsair's roll. If they want it, they'll make sure they get in range. ^^

Generally once you get Chaos Roll, there's not much point to COR roll until merits.

Until you can endless chain consistently, COR roll bonuses wont exceed those of added kills to the chain. Other rolls are more likely to get you to chain 6-7.

You can always try giving mages the Cor roll and melee the chaos/hunters combo. But my experience is that strategy just leads to whining and **** So I go with the "everyone gets Corsairs roll or no one does"

I actually hate using Cor roll, as it does mean that even with a 3 roll rotation, you WILL find yourself in spots where you won't have cor roll on yourself, but everyone else. I honestly have always felt that it was more of a solo roll, but meh. If you have a pt that doesn't need their 2nd rolls, cor is always good. Once you hit merit levels, 1mage/2dd rolls is the way to go. I actually found myself doing evokers+scholars for a good long while after buddy hit 75rdm finally and we were gearing/meriting his newest job up.

This is what I always hate, always feel so cheated, but everyone else is happy. Its like that one hot stripper that everyone likes but they don't have enough money to tip them properly :/

ironically i was just in one of those pts where cor roll did better. war war sam brd cor whm. Everyone was geared enough that we could keep chain with any one of the 3 dd going afk for periods of time. Was playing with new relic hat so was doing chaos/hunters roll (yea, yeah, sam or fighters woulda been better than hunters but we were just screwin around) while dd were afk, dropping hunters for cor.

Generally you want to buff mages first, then melees. That way you get the most benefit from the rolls, too.

If you are under 40 or don't have Luzaf's yet (get one asap) and your party insists on corsair's roll but is spaced out such that you can't hit everyone at once, just roll initially on melee, then double up on mages, or something to that effect.

Not really recommended, but at least that way you'll give everyone some bonus >.>
