Are they worth Keeping? Or should I sell them according to the guide there the best but is that guide up to date or out dated?

Right now i use enkindus subligar for melee tp and Dusk trousers for ranged tp.

Thanks in advance ^^

They are an excellent leg armor. I love mine and use them for everything except walking on COR, as well as SA, TA, and WSs on thf.

They do however fetch a nice sum selling them, so if you are in need of other big ticket gears, you may want to sell and invest there. All kinda depends on your current equips and what you personally use your COR most for. But there are not too many other armors that are great for TP (ranged or melee), WS, and even QD.

I just hate movement speed - gear. Otherwise they'd be high on my must have gear list.

I used to have - movement speed, but then I downloaded spellcast and created XMLs for everything FFXI and bam, I have never been slowed by - movement again.

Considering the amount of gear swaps that a COR needs for ever different action (very little carryover between RA, Melee, and QD), I am unsure how people get by with out using spellcast on an endgame well equipped COR.

anyway <3 oily trousers.

I'd sell em and put the Gil towards a toreador's ring for tp instead. (great for all jobs)

Use the free cobra acc+5 legs or prince's slops for tp instead.

I'm still using the old kurrea legs. Sad that it has -2 AGI, but the rest is good enough.

These are terrible for TPing in. I'd use the dusk trousers over these for melee TP as well, but oily is the best choice out of the three.

By using a ******** of macros? I have it down to every last detail.. I check the day and copy/paste the next 2-3 'days' in terms of QD to use, etc. I don't have any "normal" WS macro. For e.g., I have "Day Slug," "Night Slug," "Aht Urghan Day Slug," Aht Urghan Night Slug," and on and on. Night or Day because of Fenrir's Earring, and "Aht Urghan" because of Jalzahn's Ring; only using that in Assaults/Salvage.

Is it annoying? Yes, but it can be done. It's one of the many reasons I prefer shorter events to longer ones.

Ok since we're discussing leg slot, educate me on a better list for melee tp:

Oily> Cobra> Denali> Prince's>

shooting tp:

Dusk trousers>all

And I still think overall Toreador's > Oily unless I guess you really only play cor.

Personally going for skadi's myself. Acc +4 and haste 2% (some attack and store tp also). Not as much acc as oily but I think the haste would more than make up for that.

i use dusk myself, but im in a situation where a pair of these could wind up in my lap.

If it was up to me i would sell them for 2.5mil and invest that gil elseware.

Then again im the /rng Shoot for TP typa COR. I know, i know its not TP efficient, but **** its the way i love to play COR and im gonna continue that way until it gets dull (still hasnt).

So for me Dusk is > all.

My opinion, like so many other peices of badass gear in this game, not worth the effort, better places to spend my time / gil.

Basically the gear im looking to get / collecting for my cor atm is here:
http://www.ffxiah.com/item_sets.php?id=88708

If i were gonna /nin and shoot (which i doubt i would ever do) that would be the gear.

if i was /rng with that gear pull out the Genin for a Beater's Earring (which i do have), and thats pretty much it. I guess if i could hit the mobs aright with ranged shots i would probably keep the joyeuse on, if not probably go for the Phantom Fleuret.

also i really want that helmet, if nothing else than to show up at a pt shooting and having a quadav head!

Agreed. If you are going to spend 2.5 million, items like PCC and Toreadors will go much further than Oily's. Just goes to show how weak in general pants are in this game. A piece with 5 ACC, 5 RACC on it goes for 2.5 million.
