COR testimony. DUN DUN DUNFollow
So, I'm COR70 and 1 tnl. Time for G5. Any tips on getting me testimony lads? The mobs that drop these things look brutal compared to the BLM and DNC testimony droppers.

I had no problem soloing the Lamia mob as a blm* outside one of the entrances to Arrapago Reef in Caedarva Mire. I'd think a small group could handle her with ease.
*Of course, this was a while back before Enfeebling Magic was apparently snapped in half.

youll need a few ppl to kill these, the enteramce to arrapogo reef or w,e its called in caedavere mire has some of the mobs u need to kill, camp near zone so u can zone if u link

^ This is what I did. I would try to bring a THF friend if you can and they aren't busy. I found the drop rate wasn't the greatest. Good Luck on the test hunt matey.

One of the times I got my testimony (I had to farm it 3 or 4 times, if memory serves me right) I joined a group of BLU that were spell farming there.
Another time I went out there and handled them with a group of 4, I believe... a PLD, THF, healer, and COR.
I don't remember how hard they are, but I would never attempt it without a real tank, but I'm a bit overly cautious by nature.

I think a solid group of 3 should have little to no problems. GL on the drops. let us know how the <3 Qultada <3 fight goes.

Finally got around to doing this. Went with WHM75 and DRG/WHM75, and my COR70. First mob dropped the testimony. lol.
Currently broke, need cash for an Opo Opo.

Lost due to "out of range" on slug -> 0 TP.

Did you know Steel Bullets do more damage when you equip them, rather than leaving them in your inventory? Got him to about 10%, so probably would have won with Steel.
0/2 so far, due to bullsh*t error and my own stupidity.

I equiped myself properly. I used Pot Eu Feu. Two slug shots and I won. Didn't even 2 hour.

COR will be my first 75 job, currently at level 60 and on hiatus again from it while I make some more money.
I'm up to 300k, but I need to buy:
Jaridah legs and hands
Spectacles
Drachen, Gallant, Wizard rolls (and DNC and SCH rolls in the next coming levels)
I still use regular bullets >_>; and chances are I will be at Steel Bullets without having to ever have used Iron Bullets.
This is all stuff I currently need, not counting things I still have to buy.
But I am determined to make COR my first level 75 job. The Testimony will just be another bump in the road since I don't have high level friends in the game.
I'm up to 300k, but I need to buy:
Jaridah legs and hands
Spectacles
Drachen, Gallant, Wizard rolls (and DNC and SCH rolls in the next coming levels)

Just offer money for a 75 to help you farm it, that's what I did. For 25k it will take a thf all of half an hour to get it to drop. If you need to save money, skip all those worthless rolls.

Please tell me you at least macro in iron bullets for WS! It doesn't cost that much to do that.
And if you really are serious about COR to 75, my protip is: level Alchemy to at least 60 and Smithing/GS to at least 30. My bullet costs are minimal since I craft my own and even without HQ's can make back my money in materials.
And with your 300k, I'd definitely get Jaridah hands and legs, specs and Wizard, DNC and SCH rolls. You can hold off on Drachen and Gallants for quite some time. But the gear won't cost you more than 100k and the other two rolls won't kill that cash supply either.
The bigger costs coming up are Utsu:Ni for subbing NIN at 74 and martial gun for your general all around endgame gun. Those will cost a decent chunk of change unless you are lucky with some BCNMs.

No, I have never bought Iron Bullets, and considering I am only 6 levels from Steel, I will probably end up skipping Iron.
The only reason I have not yet purchased Jaridah legs and hands is that they are never on the Auction House when I am online. Only Akinji is for sale and to hell with paying 20x the cost for +1 Accuracy and/or Ranged Attack.
Chayaya hasn't been in Al Zhabi for weeks, or at least not every time I have gone to check. When she is I will definitely be picking up some dice because I won't know when I see her again. I will probably continue to skip Drachen and Gallant.
I have started trying to do the Crafting thing. After a couple weeks, my Smithing is at 11 and my Alchemy is at 8. I will probably be ready to craft my own bullets sometime in the next two months.
As far as Utsusemi: Ni, I never really considered that an expenditure. I have NIN as a possible support job, but I have never subbed it. Utsusemi: Ichi was all I ever planned on needing if I did since I didn't figure I was ever going to be blowing through shadow recasts nor do I actually see myself getting to 75 any time in the next few months to worry about it.

As a first job, i would never expect a COR to be equipped or shoot like I would someone who already has a job @75, but just 1 stack of Iron bullets will make a difference to your Slug Shots for the majority of those 6 levels.
If you couldn't afford Iron bullets, what makes you think you'll be able to afford the even more expensive steel bullets for TP/WS?
If money is tight, at least make sure you have the highest DMG bullet for WS.
EDIT: I also noticed from your sig, that you wear AF hands + legs, you wasted gil just doing the 'Corsair's Gants' quest. Wearing Noct+1 is a huge improvment in your hand and feet slots until something better arrives for Hands and legs.
GL with COR, I couldn't imagine being a pirate as my first job, just make sure you use your gil wisely (no need to buy Gallant's Roll either)

Trust me, when you are facing a mad greater colibri who just woke up and your light shot timer is down, Utsu: Ni is your best friend.
COR's get asked to pull in meripo a lot, especially in casual pickup groups. In order to do the job properly you only need 3 things: Light staff, light cards and Utsu:Ni. Beyond that, anything works. I've pulled with bullets, hyoton;Ichi, mamoolbane, darts. That doesn't matter so much. It's the fact that you can keep mobs slept for the melee and can tank them for a bit when light shot timers are down.
But I agree, you are a ways from 74, esp if you are going to stop levelling for a bit to raise alchemy crafts, make some gil, finish some genkai.
But seriously, buy a stack of iron bullets and macro them in for WS. 6 more levels is along time in the 60's

Hey i was the other cor that was looking for testimony!! I had to farm testimony 5 times!! I didnt realize my gun made such a big diffrence on slugshot(+200 extra damage), thanx for the tip. Almost every time i farmed the testimony i went with three people and had no problem. I did it once with a 75 smn and the smn used the summon to tank. The easiest time i had farming it was with our alliance. fun times my friend, and ill always remember it. hope your enjoying end game cor as much as i am.
