Finally closing in on 70, so have been prepering for the limit breaker.
Got all spells I need last night and testemony aswell.

But my problem is; just came back, and nor are and nor were any good on macros.

Would someone be so kind to set up a good macro list needed for this fight? ^^

Although I don't have any macros for you, I can say that you will want to be decisive and act fast.

The longer you sit there buffing, the longer HE sits there buffing too.

It is very short, yes. If you don't do enough damage to force him to heal, he mops the floor with you. And if you can't out damage him suddenly starting to Magic Fruit spam before you run out of steam, you die.

Since Azure Lore is awesome now though, you can try to follow up Hysteric Barrage (or Smite of Rage if you didn't have Hysteric Barrage) with Death Scissors and score a Gravitation. And then start over with Frenetic Rip (Induration), Head Butt/Frypan (-> Impaction), Uppercut (->Liquification), then Head Butt/Frypan (whichever you didn't use earlier) (->Fusion). Hopefully the stuns will mess him up and buy you time to do more damage with your other spells. I don't know the timing that would make it work though, unfortunately, since I haven't played in a bit.

Azure Lore was recently updated to make all your spells SC- & MB-able while it's active without the need to use Chain/Burst Affinity.

I've seen the Frost Breath strategy on youtube. But they also change gear, I have no idea how to macro gearswap. Would Frost Breath land paralyse even if I use the BLU af?

And I've read there is NO CHANCE to solo the Mimickers, is that not true?

Hey again.

I have failed twice now, I do what every guide says but cant seem to do enough damage. I get him down to roughly 45% then all my spells are on cooldown, I am 10-15 points behind on cap tho.

I start with Frost Breath, then Skillchain Vorpal -- Hysteric, then Icarus Wing then Vorpal again, then frenetic Rip, Death Scissors, Dimesional Death, Mandibular Bite.

From all the movies I've seen this should be enough(even saw an 68 do it).

SO my conclusion must be I am way under the skill needed, but does really 15 points make that much difference in damage output?

And if that is the reason, where can I safely solo up my skill?

You should always cap your Blue Magic skill. No exceptions. It's one of the factors in the damage formula for physical spells. I think I capped it while farming Mimickers while grouped from heavy amounts of cheap spell spam. (I didn't dare risk that solo.) Besieged is also an option...if people still do Besieged. >_> If they don't, then it's definitely not safe. I've always treated skilling up on magic like skilling up a weapon skill like Sword, and it's worked well for me that way. YMMV.

You may also need more STR gear or may have an accuracy issue. If you are able to see how much damage the video guides do on their multi-hit spells and compare with yours, that should give you a very good idea if all your hits are connecting. I've heard other BLUs complain about Dimensional Death accuracy in particular but again, YMMV.

The fact that you're not hurting enough is another reason why you will want (the new) Azure Lore active and making sure you're hitting as many skillchains as possible. Unless you had it on and just forgot to mention it.

If you're not used to gear swapping, this is probably a bad place to try getting used to it. You don't NEED to do it to get through this (I didn't--inventory issues kept me from hoarding gear), but it can help if you have the specialized gear.

I personally found it easier (on my nerves) to put most of the spells in separate macros instead of all in one in this circumstance, but again, YMMV.

There's also the small possibility that he was adjusted due to the Azure Lore changes.
