I'm a summoner in training (only 12 lol) but my friend recommended to get the avatars early which I did. Just solo'd on my dnc.
That just leaves fenrir and diablos....
Now by experience I know diablos is a pain...(didn't win)
But fenrir i know nothing about. I have the key item to go fight him. But I'm sure he isn't solo friendly
Any advice?

It was soloable by skilled and well geared THFs back in the 75s. I'd assume if you have a good evasion set it could go.
From what I remember his most annoying moves are Dispelga and Eclipse Bite, along with the 2 hour which is based on moon phase for damage (so new moon would probably be safest).
I only ever did it on SMN, and 4 75SMNs are enough to kill it safely.

Dnc can comfortably duo Fenrir with a whm, solo is possible, but haste and debuffs do help when he gets really dispelga spammy. His melee accuracy is terrible, but eclipse bite stings if he's dispeled fan dance and both utsu timers are down. It's usually not fatal from full hp tho, as he tends to miss a hit. It's really just like any IT mob solo, except you have to take into account that he has pretty heavy regain (or can just use tp move every minute like avatar, dunno).
I soloed Fenrir on the weekend with ease 85Bst/Nin no special build just strait fight with pet runaway for 2 hour call pet when first dies, snarl ,reward when you can took 2 sheep 2 pet food. Evoker's Ring you can have this :)

Soloed Fenrir as Smn Today, Eclipse Bite isn't as deadly as before. 1700~2000 dmg per BP (with Predator Claw or Geocrush), Diabolos at 50%~ to avoid a one shot on Howling Moon. Not really hard but you may still encounter some hits at 600 dmg from him.

I'm going to try it on my BST/WHM (actually I'll be dual boxing it using RDM/WHM on the other account). I'm probably will do it on a lightsday, use a full reward build, and use the funguar jug and the sheep jug. I'll use my RDM character to stick enfeebles only (Dia II, Gravity).
I'm probably going to wait til the next version update before I attempt the fight, however.
I have already soloed Leviathan, Ifrit, Garuda, Shiva, Titan, and Ramuh on BST/WHM using FlowerpotMerle. Dialobos is a prick, he ignores pet hate. (Found that out while soloing the CoP 3-4 Mission after the stupid level caps were removed.)

85 bst can solo it now, taru bst or someone with hp down gear would need to avoid 2 hr.

I trio'd it not long ago, Pld/dnc, Thf/sam, rdm/whm as main heal. Odd group but we had just come from whoopin Diabolos and lost 1 of our sams who had to go to Limbus so we tried w/ 3 and won on 1st try. Wasnt 2 hard really.

Duo'd fenrir pretty easily with SAM/NIN and RDM/SCH for support. Walk in, make a couple 3 step light skillchains, walk out.
