Ward testingFollow

Mostly unhappy with SE's ward update.

1. Schurzen BP lasts really short, and costs 150 MP. Since it is only effective on being "near killed", I had zero moments of being able to tell it worked, in about 50 BPs. The result is that this seem to be a BP move to be used at the same times as you use Alexander. Which is right now only on AV. Of course a BRD can do it for free and same or longer duration.

2. Attack down. 100% landing rate from my tests, which is nice. Not noticable damage difference makes it rather pointless. It is roughly as good as using Titan's defense favor right now from what I can tell.

3. Crimson howl is still too short. I estimated it to be about 80 seconds when I forgot to use my skill set. That is still with about 30 skill over cap. I'd estimate that you can probably get it up to 2 min if lucky.


The "positive" parts.

1. With capped level 80 summoning skill and +50ish skill or whatever I have, I got hastega to last 4 min 40 seconds. I think I had longer before update actually, but near 5 min is acceptable in any case.

2. The spikes BPs seem to last about 4 min as well, making them usable but still not very good.



The unknown.

1. Still haven't tested the changes to 3 min base pacts like Fenrir and Diabolos pacts.

In bastion the mobs can one shot almost anyone especially mages, avatars went down in one shot 100% of the time even titian with EA up. I on the other hand would only take 0-155 damage and i have 1100 hp. Seem not to work at all below a certain high amount of dmg.

Yeah this sucks but the animation is awesome

At 85 with 334 skill far from cap i have 4min 11sec wards

EA : If you lose more than 75% of your hp max on an attack, it's reduced by 45% (exemple : 1000 needle deals 550 with EA IF I have less than 1333~ hp)
Tidal Roar : Atk down -25% for 2 min

Oh and there's a new tier for Favor with 380~382 Smn Skill AND AF3 +1 Horn. (yes, I have it already) "Enhances Avatar's Favor" also gives Perp Cost -3 (with the Refresh, it's basically Perp Cost -4 with Favor up)

Sounds good. I wasn't that interested in horn, since I got refresh pin, but the favor buff sounds decent. (Unless it also lowers dmg% by avatars by more)

Nice with a bit of good news on Earthen Armor too. Though I'm still amazed I never once got it to trigger while testing.

From what I was able to tell, mobs that are resistant to Water have a higher resistance to Tidal Roar than others do. Playing around on Thalassinon and Crapaudy on Summoner the other day and I would see only about 50% of my Tidal Roars landing successfully.

At 373 skill (not capped yet, with +65 smn skill gear)

Stoneskin lasts 16 minutes 10 seconds

Hastega lasts 4 minutes 10 seconds

Ecliptic Growl lasts 4 minutes 10 seconds

Yes but when you can have easily 2500 hp in Abyssea, there is not many mobs with an attack able to deal 1875 dmg at least... I can still see Ironclad Severer and his gravity-based move, Ovni under Fluorescence or Ruminator but EA is mostly useless. 75% of max hp is far too much to ask when you aren't a Taru in full Zenith stuff. Anyway the mechanic was very easy to test. Ballista is a good way for this but not the only method (and because people always think everything is nerfed inside). At 410~ smn skill the buff lasts around 2 min 50.

Oh and about Tidal Roar's range, it's 9.5/10m around Leviathan, same as a Blood Pact: Ward.
With AF3 Head and 382 skill, Diabolos now gives a 5 MP/Tick Refresh, Carby 18 HP/tick Regen, Titan +72 DEF. Strangely it's still MAB+10 for Shiva...

My boy got hit for 6k vs glavoid now if earthen armor can stop those 1 shot moves it would be awesome. Many Mobs we have fought have one shot a number members of our alliance is it 75% of current hp?

You don't suppose Earthen Armor would stack with Sentinel's Scherzo, do you? Would let the tanks take some impressively high numbers and still walk away if it did...

Same spell, so doubt it. Should work as poorly as warcry + crimson howl.
