I've fought it once but didn't get any shoes. It does indeed hit hard so you have to be skilled if you intend on soloing. (I did it in a group and we had some issues since it was the first time).

Just attempted to solo this NM now as SMN/WHM as i dont have 37 NIN for ni yet...
It is possible to kite this by avoiding the other Chigoe spots... just avoid other aggro, unfortunately thats what happened to me.

I am working on my Heavenly Strike 5/5, but also I wouldn't mind this for sleepga, when I do use it. It would be nice to have the extra magic accuracy on it. Beyond that, you're right only people who want smn gear just to have will want this.
I plan on getting some finishing touches on my smn and going out to try this with hopefully some pet help.

Here is very soloable. I've been doing him as RDM/NIN. Unfortunately, the drop rates seems terrible. I'm 0/8 and I had a 75thf for 4 of those fights. I also lost claim 3 other times. All in all I've seen the drops go 1/11.

I'm now 0/15 on this NM, 3 times with a TH 4 but most of the time solo. I usually had about 200mp left, and don't be worried about using avatar's favor if you can get down to a free fenrir (it will definitely save you more mp than the small amount of damage lost). Time your siphons if you need to as well, i'd usually pull out spirit and switch to siphon gear and let it fight until it does using day/weather relic to reduce cost.
I'm really disgusted with these droprates. Anyone who gets the item within 1-3 attempts of killing their NM should count themselves very lucky.

I've killed it different ways and so far the best was SAM just zerging it. It is dead after a volley of WSes (that would be WS->WS->WS->WS->WS-WS). Duoed it on SMN with another SMN and it went quite bad, even if it doesn't have to end bad.
First loss, firega III to the head (thought he was aiming for pet)
Second loss, treeant aggro.
Won on third attempt.
It is probably easier to solo, since you don't have to run up near it and assault when it is on your friends avatar (or your friend). Apparently it's having that job in the PT. For the Enhances Pet Attack/Accuracy it's PUP and BST. This means its pretty much worthless for us.

I'd assume it is 10 or 14 Macc, and post 300ish skill it would be 1 skill 0.9 M.acc I guess? Or how does those formula tend to be? Would be like 20 skill at best perhaps.

I feel your pain. I'm 0/18 on this guy and 0/2 on fenrir's crown. I went 1/3 on smn belt so I will thank my lucky stars. I don't know if I have the heart (or the stomach) to camp any more of these NMs if all of the drop rates are this bad.

Stack those along with my 7 M.acc shantotto pants, relic+1 gloves and smn skill gear, ACP body with 7 M.acc/MAB and it's gonna be great. Now if only i could get that MAB earring from ACP fight. Rotten luck on that always.

Wonder which HNM would be best to test the resist rates on. Need to be fairly resistant, but not very resistant. Sadly I just remember mobs without resistance and with extreme resistance.

I've camped the Summoning belt NM for about 10 hours(in 2 5hr stints) without it even popping >.>

This guy is pretty tough to solo as SMN imo. Definately possible tho, I had him down to about 20% first try. Still, I would recommend getting a SMN friend to duo with you then do it until you both get drop. You could be at this for awhile and its so much quicker and easier to duo him.

I'm still surprised I haven't seen any tests done on these. Personally I don't have them because I never have any luck with drops. (0/8)

From what I've seen and heard (and therefore prolly by no means even close to accurate) I'd give about all the new NMs a 1/20 droprate. I got lucky it seems on first two but Ranponneau made me pay dearly with a big 1/21...
