I unlocked SMN yesterday after getting WHM to 30 finally. and decided to go get to level five before I logged. after the first fight I was like OMFG. seriously carby is so strong at this level I can usually chain 3 even matches for crazy EXP.
so yeah, I <3 SMN so much, made all the more sweeter by how long it took to get WHM to 30.

Over the last week and a few days I beat all the prime avatars and got Fenrir as well. Diablos however has been beating me down pretty badly.

My memory is foggy but I seem to recall my carby having problems around level 8 to kill much more than 2 DC before I was out of MP. (mithra)
Of course who knows how many hidden changes he has gotten since 2004. I also always played safe so I made sure to have plenty of MP, which meant resting often.

Congrats! CoP was the most fun i've had in this game :) Did 80% as a static with friends. I too took the Tamas ring, and it's been extremely useful and totally worth it.

Did a few KSNM run last night at Horlais Peak, another PT was there too. Including myself there were 5 SMN in Horlais Peak, I hid in the corner in shame with my carby because I was the only SMN without Yingyang robe :(
After a few runs both team took a short break, and the SMNs started using Elemental Siphons. 212MP, 241MP, 250MP, and 260MP. I stood up and Siphon for 286MP :D

Last fight was so hard I had to cure instead of DD. Won first try of course, but it wasn't easy enough!
I liked CoP better (before the great gimp), it actually required you to think about strategies, use meds and use your brain.

I passed on those after winning lot to a SMN who missed out on triple horn drop night. I mean, getting Summoner's horn and pigaches -1 the same week would make anyone feel like a loot whore.
Thankfully the gods saw my kind gesture and let me win the hands -1 at a later date. Which I valued a lot higher. (SMN magic for spirits, oh yea!)

Im just getting into the "So what can I solo on SMN" phase mostly I play with Marid / Grand Marid and Imps atm, gonna see if I can solo a Wivre.
For Marids I was really suprised to see Blizz4 > Sleepga was sticking like 90%+ of the time, and for awhile too, I was able to kite the thing around BLM style.
