I am having trouble with the new game Aion. Occasionly the game will freeze for up to a minute, sometimes crashing with a BSOD. After a crash, Windows reports problems with the video driver, although I am running the latest driver from Nvidia. System monitors report all tempretures within normal range. No problems with WOW or FFXI.

CPU: AMD 64x2 3Mhz
Mem: 6GB
OS: Win 7 RC (64-bit)
Video: Nvidia GT 8600 3gb mem

What video card and o/s are you running?

Wow is not a large vid card resource hog and im not familiar with ffxi to be able to say they are or are not.

A couple things you can check, Go to the intel website and make sure your motherboard has the latest intel drivers, it should as you say WoW is running fine. Try an older version of drivers for your current card but make sure to d/l and run drive sweeper and remove the old one first.

more information though will definitely help.

Are you running evga precision tools? If not get a copy, google it. and leave the memory shaders etc alone and turn the fan to 100% this in itself should help. the newer nvdia drivers seem to have a problem with the 8xxx and 9xxx and a bad effect to this seems to have been for a large amount of people that it turns the fan to 40%.

Get a copy and turn the video card fans to 100 and see if this helps, if not try and get the specific crash information windows is giving you and post that and Ill see if I can help from there.

I understand your frustration, fubared graphics problems have driven me insanely mad before as well.
